Kind of a @wxman1 thing. Why don't all of these people running around with smarty phones with hundreds of apps ever look at a weather app or check radar? The Lifetime group I am thinking of joining to bike ride with got caught in the thunderstorm that blasted through here early evening. Anyone looking to leave on a 600 ride could have seen this nasty ass red/yellow blob on the radar west of us and seen that by 700 or 730 it was going to blow through. I watched it arrive through the windows at an ISU reception and it was nasty. But I also knew it was coming and drove my least valuable auto just in case it had hail. It did not not hail but man did it blow.

To paraphrase Chico Escuela, "Keep your eye on da sky."

Baseball been very good to me.

That definitely sounds like a rant I would and have made. Why yes continue using that forecast that you more than likely got off of some dumb app four days ago for right now.

I need a nap. I'm so burned out this week. From the one hour of sleep on Saturday night and getting to bed at midnight every other day this week I just want to lie down. I just don't bounce back like I used to.

Why aren't you sleeping? I don't follow this thread enough to know maybe.

I was up babysitting the idiots at work on Saturday night, left at 3am, got in bed at 4am, phone rang at 5am with network problems so of course they have to call the automation programmer??????
That took all day Sunday, Got called 5:30 am Monday with a different network problem, that was another all day affair. After work the rest of the week I had something to do every night.

Thaaaaat sucks. Sorry to hear it. Do they have no one else they can rely on? I hope you're compensated fairly for this kind of abuse.

There's plenty of people they should be able to rely on. The reasons are a long story that would involve lots of censored words.

Almost crashed and burned this afternoon. Hit a trail bump I didn't see and it knocked both my feet out of the stirrups and nearly tossed me out of my saddle. Woof. Guess it would have made for a comical sight as I floundered around trying to not crash.

BTW, at 90 degrees I am more heat hardy then my Samsung S7 . Damn thing and the bike app overheated after only 10 miles and shut down.

Belated birthday greetings SaraV.

Glad you didn't crash Boxster. I'm hoping to get a bike ride in sometime this weekend.

Gnats are still terrible.

got the garden planted after work, replaced a dead rose, and got 16 of the 96 little Begonias planted. Baby was protesting at getting scrunched so much. Between that and the 10 mosquito bites I got despite being drenched in Deet, I gave up and came inside. Got one bite on my forehead, lovely. Not sure when I'll get the rest done.........all day bridal/bachelorette party. They're going to my favorite winery in the afternoon. I'm very sad about this. I'll go.......hopefully won't melt. Someone said their sparkling grape juice is actually really good.

well shoot, this weekend it's 90, 93, 93. I guess I really don't know when I'll get the rest of those plants done. Have to go out early one day. Very early!

Grape Juice Brooklyn just doesn't seem to have a ring to it.

The closest I came to a hot weather baby was early June, although the one I miscarried had an August due date. Even the June one felt like my body temp was about 150. I lived in those sundress maxis all of May that year.

Make sure you hydrate like there is no tomorrow. I went to watch a niece in state tennis nine months preggo and every coach in the complex was handing me water.

Probs just wanted to watch me waddle to bathrooms.

NWS just bumped the forecast temps to 96, 95 and 95 for the holiday weekend. Ack!

Need some advice, the gf is getting s Dalmatian puupy. We are going to pick it out next weekend. What have you all looked for in new puppies?

July 29 for my second. Pullman, WA - just as freakin' hot & humid as Ames in late July. We lived in a 10 x 50 trailer with no AC (just a swamp cooler), and already had a 19 month old. Do not recommend!!!

I just look at how they play. Do they have a sweet side seeking your affection? Mean side?

We are dog sitting this weekend and the only dog that is a problem is a purebred. I find mutts to be less psycho.

Oh my, I would have just gone to some fast food place with air and drank iced tea all day. That sounds brutal. Hormones and heat, yikes!

Night & day between the two. Firstborn was late December, and we were in below zero temps. Matter of fact, our pipes froze shortly after he came home (a cat got under the trailer & made a nest in the heat tape that was formerly wrapped around our pipes...), took three days to get the cold water running and a week before we had hot water again. Also do not recommend!
Smart women have their babies in the spring & fall. :D
