Ryan Seacrest is proof you can sell your soul for fortune and fame. It's the only explanation how such a talentless hack like that is everywhere.
I think Seacrest ensured he would be around by hosting New Years Rocking Eve with post stroke **** Clark. It was absolutely painful to watch ghost-of-himself Clark in that and Seacrest troopered on in it and by doing so must have taken over the mantle a bit.

I agree with you on Seacrest's ability.

EDIT: Not sure why image is not showing up...
EDIT2: Now I know. Smut barrier is changing the guy's first name to **** in the link.

Warning: Soccer update...

Since their last tournament our girls' soccer team had some really bad losses in league play where there was a lot of hero ball and not the unselfish team play that had gotten them success before. They had another tournament this weekend and got to play Friday night in the stadium Minnesota United played in before they started playing in the MLS. They started off with a bad half but then they put it together after the half and salvaged a draw. They won the early game Saturday and then drew against the likely best competition for the title in the later game. They had to win Sunday morning to keep title chances alive and despite injuries piling up they soldiered on for a 2-0 victory. They played without any subs for the majority of the second half and the girls were obviously running on fumes. It was fun to hear some of the girls who aren't necessarily the best of friends crediting each other on keeping them going and thanking each other for their support. A TEAM IS GROWING!!!

They still had to wait around for the results of the final games (each team had one time slot they didn't play and our girls didn't play in the last time slot). The girls got the help they needed (needed other team to lose or draw) and ended up coming out of it with a championship. It was nice for them to get it after coming so close in the last tournament. Too bad they didn't find out until after everyone had left so they didn't get a team picture with a championship banner. Let's hope the lessons learned and team play sticks this time.

Daughter played two halves in goal because the full time keeper was still busy with last basketball tournament of the year. She pitched a shutout even with some nasty shots in the Friday night game to allow the comeback from 0-2 and allowed one goal in her half of the early Saturday game in a 4-2 win. I'm glad we have two quality position players who can step in goal and play without really any drop-off in production there. It just hurts us to not have them in the field when they have to be in goal.

The boys played in a Jamboree at a different site on the cold and blustery Saturday and got a draw and a loss. Considering how much this team has struggled they were happy with the success of a draw. They had fun picnicking in the wind and cold between games as well - at U10 that is really what it is about anyway.

Tell them yes...by carrier pigeon.

So I got called at 5am because they have messed up the network again. As usual the network people insist that they didn't change anything.

So I end up having to give these people the exact same information as yesterday

Apparently this is a total network outage and they haven't engaged AT&T, the network provider
Every time I've contacted the network people because some connection wasn't working, I always here, "We didn't change anything." The issue always ends up being that something was changed.

First school softball games tonight

Same here. Interested in seeing the young blood will be better than the old ones who didn't go out. About 2 months ago, the HC said he was looking at moving kids. So I did what's I had never done without being asked. I suggested moving a couple girls around. The last move consisted of moving the starting SS to OF and my daughter from 3rd to short. Reasons given for each move, with my daughter moving because although she's young, there isn't one who knows the game better than her and has an arm to rope it anywhere on the field. In the meantime my son starts dating the SS, so I didn't mention it again. All but one move, the coaches ended up doing. (Daughter went to short did happen).

Well, due to continued shoulder issues, she got moved to second for tonight. The second baseman switched with her. A 3-4 year whiny starter who wants to lead, but no one will follow because she isn't a leader.

This could get interesting.

BTS. Would put a beatdown on NKOTB.
Was that the K-Pop group? My wife made me come over and watch that. They were pretty good. Lot's of energy.

I wish I had seen the purple lingerie singer, although, if it was DJ Khaled, I take that back.

The only other part of the show I saw was the Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato song. Why was their hair wet?

Yes,
This morning after listening to what was going on I said that an outage like this indicates to me that there is an issue by the provider. It took them hours before they would contact AT&T.
This time it isn't a change gone awry (like yesterday). It is an issue with the local telecom.

One funny thing to watch is the wincing look you get from any parent when baseball is mentioned. They lost their two best pitchers, their shortstop and leader, first baseman and their center fielder to graduation. Throw in my son, starting catcher, and you have the top 5 athletes off the team. The best JV pitcher didn't go out either. They have two pitchers who throw batting practice speed and two pitchers who will more likely hit the infield grass than the catchers mit. Only one hitter was over .175 that is returning.

They had a family moving back from a different state and was joining a state soon as his school was done, but he broke his hand. They were bad last year and managed to lose all their talent this year. It will be ugly.
