Do you stand "in line" or "on line"
Well, the line is made up of people.....so I would say of course "in line".
Do you stand "in line" or "on line"
Except for BoxsterCy, seriously, don't listen to him speakin' or writin' dat English.
With that said, I do say "by accident" and even after 40 plus years in Minnesota I don't say "Can you borrow me that."

......This does work well......Did you happen to google said definition?
OK, I went back - I didn't go down far enough. (How's that for a juicy double entendre?) So now I know what you're talking about. Pretty funny.

"In" unless there's an actual line on the floor or ground. Then I will stand "on" the line, regardless of whether there's a line to be in.Do you stand "in line" or "on line"
When a team finally figures things out and are succeeding do you say they are "on-track" or "untracked?"

It drives me crazy when idiot announcers say a team is trying to get untracked. It makes no sense. When a team finally figures things out and are succeeding do you say they are "on-track" or "untracked?"
Oh, gosh, I was absolutely not clear. The red bolded part is my vote for why some say "on accident." I definitely do not want to appear so high and mighty that readers infer I am telling them to ignore our fine RTT posters.

Made it three days of being home with the kids before we had a blowout.
