Sorry if I started something...I just twigged on the word, the date, and the knowledge that you have five adult daughters.

All the money she has made in the last 2 years has been from pet sitting/dog walking.My kids always get plenty of silver cord hours from lectoring and serving at church, Scout work that doesn’t count towards a badge, and yard work for a neighbor in a wheelchair. However the last few years the guidance counselor told them they didn’t have to turn it in if they didn’t want to because she had been logging the time she took them out of study hall to tutor kids in math and they already had their 50 hours for the year. Since they only have study hall when they don’t have PE, they must hardly ever be in study hall.

I don't think we've ever changed the batteries. This could be a contributing factor.
Ambulance runs. I've been to the TCs down to DM, over to Iowa City and Omaha, and Souix falls to New hampton even. Any hospital with bars on the windows is no place for me. At VA we have to have someone stay with the ambulance at all times or else some have been looted.
I forgot Lacrosse. Don't remember the hospital but remember the drive. Worst was going to Sioux Falls and they said, don't waste time, we will have something for Iowa City when you get back. I was driving, nothing like two 6-7 hour runs back to back at night and have work the next day.

One of the funnier ones was being called in for a forced pysch admittable to IC to assist the paramedic, who was female and didn't feel comfortable incase he got out of hand. Started reading paperwork (dude showed up to hospital with a suitcase with four hubcaps he had stolen from a car in a local grocery store. Paperwork also said he was hiding blades from broken disposable razors (that put me on high alert).
The guy was telling stories that were absolutely out there. He announced he had to go #1, so the medic got the urnial and I told her to just move upfront (he had been trying to rub her leg and such so I had already told her to take the chair behind him to avoid any improper handsy stuff) while he went. I was 90% certain I would be doused in urine within minutes of him finishing, thankfully it was the 10% day. We had to lie to him about why he was going there, he realized when we hit the doors of the pysch ward and had to buzz in, thankfully I'd chatted enough he felt comfortable enough with me and didn't lose it there.

My daughter is working at Hennepin -- second shift emergency room, while she gets her nursing degree. Weekends can get pretty exciting.
Will say that it probably is a heck of a learning environment because she will see nearly everything imaginable.
