Surprised I hadn't seen that either. Somehow incorporating re max into a new ISU hot air balloon that floats above the game would be cool lol. That was there last year, for both football and basketball.

It was a mascot only sponsorship
Probably they were conserving cash to make the numbers look better for the acquisition. Every $1 spent is one less in the EBITDA and $10 less in your pocket.I feel like, for some reason, Casey's hasn't been big on sponsoring anything related to college athletics. They've spent on naming rights for other things. I guess there's just no direct ties to any of the universities, so they don't care? Seems like Wisconsin-based Kwik Star (Trip) does more with the Iowa universities.
Personally, considering their recent expansion trend and the fact that they do like $15 Billion in annual revenues, we should be hammering them more for their support.
Just heard about the Big XII - Monster deal. My first thought is $1M per school for all uniforms and court and field logos seems kind of low. Anyone else think this?
Not big 12, but Wisconsin is partnering with Culver’s and apparently they are keeping the blue logo. I’m not opposed to Culver’s, but if the mockup I saw is real it looks terribleI literally do not give a f*ck what company sponsors us long as it isn't something dorky looking. Something like that Kansas logo is ideal, unoffensive to the eyes.
Somehow we'll be the only school where the company insists the logo colors cannot change and it's blue or something.
I think Casey's would work well with the color scheme of ISUMy understanding is it'll only be a small Monster logo within/incorporated with the Big XII logos, and each team is free to obtain their own for other spots on their uniforms/fields/courts. But yeah, branding on 16 team uniforms/fields/courts (as well as Monster in the 'name' of Big XII Football/Basketball) for $20M/year does seem fairly affordable in the grand scheme of things.
Their logo would look alright on our jerseys, fairly innocuous.I’d wager it’ll be Mid American and expand off the current deal they already have
