Is the RTT crew becoming wrestling fans? Several in the wrestling forums lately.
No - but Woo & I both participated in the thread PD2 started about his angelic son and the ******** of Iowa State disrespecting him. That was a fascinating train wreck, so when I saw the name again, I was drawn to the thread. :)

Anymore, I go to the cave for the entertainment. I don't post but might hit the like or agree button, if someone actually makes some sense. Do people really think they are going to change someone's mind in there??

Yeah I don’t get it at all. It seems as much fun as hitting your head against a wall.

After coaching 13 games of basketball this last weekend, the most important lesson I learned is that white kids from Maple Grove with man buns act exactly like what you'd think white kids from Maple Grove with man buns would act like.

I took one of my kids to tennis camp in Ames one year when he was about 13. Most of the kids were from Ames or suburban Des Moines and he kept commenting on how soft they were. Like a blister was a near death experience and 80 degrees was Death Valley.

All my kids had the same complaints when they closed our wonderful southern Iowa Scout camp and they went to the suburbia one. Finicky kids having a fit when their food touched in the fancy dining hall, a pool instead of a lake, etc.

My two youngest have been tutoring an acquaintance to help him raise his math ACT. The results apparently were so good, the parents came and loaded my freezer up with beef.

I can't remember who on here (and I am too lazy to do a search) brought up "That's All Brother" the first C-47 over Normandy on D-Day that is being restored. Anywho the first flight in it's restoration is scheduled for tomorrow.

Guessing its one of those retired RTTers since they are the only ones old enough to see it in its prime.

If this ever happens again, pull over and call 911 immediately and give them the license number.

Honestly, when he did that I hit my brakes and let him fly by. I wasn't considering anything but my immediate safety at that point. I'd love to say I'd react differently next time, but I'd be lying.

One of our neighbors was arrested for road rage a few years ago. I have no idea what he did, but if I see him near his car, I stall a while before I back out. Pantherhawk fan, probably has lots of rage.

I don't blame you. The concern is that he has already taken the step from driving aggressively and flipping people off to showing them his gun. The next step is pointing it at people and then shooting someone is only a fraction of a second and one hot emotional lapse away. We all need to do whatever we can do (safely) to get the nut jobs off the road.

My brother had someone take offense to his driving in some way, shape or form in Texas and aggressively follow him to his neighborhood. My brother smartly didn't go home but started trying to lose him in the maze of the neighborhood. He did end up shaking him but the crazy showed my brother his piece as he left the neighborhood.

I know I'm not a part of the official random thoughts family, but I wanted to share.

I'm the coach for an 8th grade club volleyball team. We're a regional team so we only play in tournaments within Iowa.

Well last weekend we played in a tournament and we beat the 8th grade national team from our same club. Embarrassing for them because they are supposed to be better than us, but really cool for my team.

Then, this weekend, we got second place in the tournament we entered. I'm really proud of my girls and would quit my current job to become a full-time coach if the salary was anywhere near comparable.

If we are official RTT family, I'm calling dibs on being the crazy uncle that shows up unexpectedly, drinks a little more than is appropriate and doesn't take hints on when its time to leave.

Seriously, Spiker, stop by more often.

Congrats on beating your upper level squad. My daughter is on the D2 team for soccer and plays harder against our D1 squad than anyone else. We used to give them everything they could handle, but, unfortunately, the talent gap and coaching gap is working against us as we get older.

I've tried getting my daughter to play Vball because I lived on the sand courts and at the rec center during college, but she has no interest in it.

Exactly. I would never go to my house with some nutcase following me. I've had people tailgate me for awhile and then back off, but only once has someone continued following me off a major road. I ended up pulling into a grocery store where I had plenty of people around me. They wound up driving off.

Heck, I get a little paranoid whenever I see someone follow me into my neighborhood if they stay with me for 3-4 turns beforehand (there's zero reason for someone to come into my neighborhood unless you live there and the roads twist and turn a lot).

This can be arranged. I could use a drinking partner.

Rumor is we might find out tomorrow that we were sold. I guess there were some executives at our Jersey offices talking to some management that they would like to retain.

Can I be a cousin?
