While waiting for the Army vs Navy game we just saw a commercial for "Herkyland" (think Cy's Locker Room) and my wife spotted some ISU stuff. Why even bother wasting your store space for something that will pretty much not sell at all. If they do who the hell are these ISU fans going to Herkyland to buy ISU stuff?

Got home a few minutes ago from Paul Shirley's book signing event at Olde Main in Ames. $20 got you a copy of the book, a free drink, and 3 months free of the Ames Trib - at a good time with basketball season here. He told a few stories talked about where the idea of the book came from, and took a few questions. Prohm family was there. Got the book signed afterwards and got a photo.

One story he told was how as a kid growing up in Kansas he was a KU fan. He told about how he got a meeting with Roy Williams and in that meeting Roy told him there was no offer to him and that he wasn't Big 12 material. Good ole Roy.

Not exactly sure.
It was about 30 and sunny so that isn't bad in town.

But try using a 30 degree dildo, probably not to comfortable.

At wrestling meet, (a family walks in with a vibrating Massager) a mom says look, those people (another family that feels they are more important than the rest) brought their own vibrator and they probably aren't going to share.

I told her it's called a Massager and that most people don't like to share their vibrators most likely.

Came back from a Christmas party where I had a vet talk how he believes he is superior to these farm kids and proceeds to inform me that most farm boys are illiterate. I asked if I should feel insulted, he gave me a strange why would you say that look and keep talking. He was fairly bombed.

Veterinarian or veteran? Bored and was watching stuff like Yukon Vet last night. Dogs and cats but also yaks, moose and wolf pups, so entertaining. Disclaimer: the reindeer abscess might the grossest thing I have ever seen on this sort of TV. Typing about it makes me want to hurl.

Accidently opened some link on CF that listed the top 20 posters based on volume. Two of them are on my ass-holes to ignore list. 10%, not too bad. That's a lower percentage than my general perception of people. :)

Need cooking input. Pulled out the vintage Rival crockpot from deep storage. Making beef stew cause gloomy and cold out. Do you brown or not for your beef chucks. Seems like 50/50 on googled recipes.

Do you brown your roasts before putting them in?

Based on the single beef pot roast I've made, yes. It's not like I cook full serving meals much, it's just little old 154 pound me l eating at this restaurant. Nor with CWW#2 either as she was as domestically challenged as I am.

I don't brown my single meal oven salmon, pork tenderloins, or stuffed pork chops.

Ok, honestly the first time I've ever heard of someone doing that with a roast.
