Whar Teddy HIll? Not familiar with that name and I've been about everywhere there...

Theodore Wirth Parkway between Glenwood and I-394. Modest hill on the pathway I call Teddy Hill.

It will catch on, just you wait and see. Just like "Fetch" in Mean Girls!

Here is what I picture Teddy HIll to be like:

This is really a reference to something about 10 people in the world (including me) would get. I was making a zero budget film with someone in my college days. It was a post apocalyptic piece and in it I was supposed to offer a can of tuna and a can opener to a starving woman. The opener was basically a really compact version of the standard hand crank can opener. We went through the scene and then started shooting. When she took the can opener and can in the shot she got a dumbfounded look on her face and said, "I don't know how to use this." She had never in her life opened a can without an electric can opener.

Luckily she waited until we were shooting to realize it so we were able to capture her reaction for posterity.

I think we may have found our house. And it is actually $60k less than what we were expecting to pay! Pretty excited about it. Hopefully it works out before anyone buys/rents it.
So, I went with optimistic because that was the closest to hopeful and I don't want to jinx you, not because I'm an ass. I mean, I can be an ass, but that's not why I put optomistic

Velos "I don't know how to use this" reference reminded me of something similar. My single side garage door does not have an opener, double side does. Was opening that door one day and the little neighbor boy asked me what I was doing. Duh, opening my garage door. Then realised the little dude had likely never seen a garage door open without a button pushed and a opener operating. Found it a little funny.

Think about all of the high school kids who if they have ever seen a record being played it is just so that some schmo can scratch the living daylights out of it pushing it back and forth on the turntable.

whats a foley?
Post production sound effects. Essentially recording sounds or recreating sounds since in filming a practical sound often doesn't record well and needs to be dubbed over or the sound you need (like a window breaking or a gun shot) isn't really there in the filming of a scene. So on a foley stage sound effects are recorded for dubbing into a scene as appropriate.

I bet that is fun as ****.
Sometimes you can really be creative. I'll bet they had a riot creating sounds for a film like the original Star Wars. Think about all of the sounds they got to create that they could totally decide what it was going to sound like e.g. droid communication, wookie vocalization, Vader's helmet breathing, ships zooming by, blaster fire, ship cannons (pew, pew, pew), death star weapon, cantina aliens, etc. Who is going to tell them that they got it wrong?
