Yep, I'm trying with all my might to follow the RTT thread. It's a tough job, but worth it.
It can be quite the daunting task to try to keep up. Sometimes I miss a day or two, but it is pretry easy to pick back up once you know the regulars. Has CG already given you the new member interrogation?

Sometimes if you miss a day or two you just have to give up and go to the end. The feature where you can click on the quoted portion of a post is nice in that it gets you back to read what was going on at the time.

Need to get CG to make a spreadsheet about what is discussed every 25 posts or so. If you have 50 posts of Pants' photos, you can just skip over then.

I know we have some horror buffs on RTT (yes I'm thinking of you, pants) and I was wondering if any of you has ever read the book "The Legend of Hell House" by Richard Matheson. One of scariest books I have ever read - right up with some of King's best work.

Matheson was most famous for having written "The Incredible Shrinking Man".

I have not, though I loved I Am Legend (I just ignore the **** show that was the movie). I might have to check this out. Also, @GTO is an even bigger buff. Had a horror thread that's kind of died now, but has a billion good recomendations in it.

Hell House was made into a movie in the 70's, and while it is fairly good, it's NOTHING like the book. About surviving personalities (ghosts), possession, etc. You will be roped in from the very beginning, when you hear the history of the house itself.

On a related note, I recently bought the entire first season of "Masters of Horror" that aired on Showtime. Some of the episodes sound pretty good, I'm getting stoked to watch it. Do you or @GTO have any experience with this series?

When I was a kid and the school would have those book fairs I would always order the books that were a collection of horror short stories.

I've never seen it, but I help the school mock trial team and they always try to reference it. One wanted to quote it in her closing argument.

Ran out to vote before the after school rush. Not sure how I should interpret this. When I was going in, town funeral director held the door for me and said, "Looking good, Carvers!"

So does that mean: (1) hot damn, you looking fine gurrrl; or (2) another quick ten grand headed my way, better make sure I have good selection of Carvers' size caskets in stock.

Will delude myself thinking (1), while deep down inside, believe it is (2).:(
Carvers' thought process is a wonderful thing to behold. I love this post.

Sounds like my dad was invited to travel to Oklahoma with the football team.

Hopefully they don't pull the fire alarm multiple times again. That was a long night...

OU is about as good of a trip as you get in the Big12. Has he ever traveled with the team?

I just proposed a potential movie title. "You whine like a mule...YOU ARE STILL ALIVE!!"

Sorry I'm busy, or I'd go grab that clip from Robin Hood and you could listen to Morgan Freeman say it.
Nope. I was murdered. The "theoretical" movie title will be the first clue the DA uses to track down the assailant, heretofore known as the bishop butcher.
