Wherever I go, there I am.
My wife, as a lead Special Ed teacher, would certainly agree with this. There are a lot of kids that belong on the spectrum but it's too easy to get the label if the parents seem to want the label.
Agreed, depending upon what "the label" means. As you are referencing, it is a spectrum that everyone falls onto at some point and not a single diagnosis. I think some parents abuse it just like anything else.

So a bit belated as I got my vacation the day I was going to mention this, but I'm due to calve this summer. :D
Rum Brooklyn on hiatus until further notice.

Official CF congratulations!

I agree with @SaraV. It was hard to keep quiet for sure.

Are you going to find out if it's a girl or boy? If so, when?

I'm always curious.

Past that point now so waiting to find out. Though DH is sure it's a boy because he's Dh and that means he can continue procrastinating on girl names

For our youngest daughter, we waited until about 1 hour before we left the hospital before finally deciding. She was Baby Girl Cyclonee for a couple of days. It worked, though. Her name is Addi and when she was younger she definitely had an Additude.

and yes to fresh cookies at the hospital, but wxman, you'll have to come to me unless you want to pay my out of pocket fees. Get to come back from vacation and continue fighting bills from early on. Fun times.

There is a donut place right next to our hospital and I have heavily implied to DH that a sprinkled donut and glass of wine better be ready for me shortly after this child arrives.

and also yes on estate planning. We had done nothing prior cause we figured it'd get divided between families which I guess is bad cause we would have wanted to give more to nieces but anyway. Need to sort out guardianship and figure out what would happen to assets - put in a trust or some kind of yearly stipend? IDK how that works. Plus, we both know we'd actually prefer our close friends be guardians but that's not going to happen right now. Probably go to one set of parents or DH's brother while young and we think we'll switch once kids are half grown and they'd go to our friends up here.

Woo, you do that for baked goods or something? Figure we will look for an estate planning type.

Not exactly sure.
We didn’t know the sex of any of our three. Guess we were just happy to have them and thought it was part of the fun of finding out later. First time one we had a girls name but boys, we had a middle and two names and named him either right before or right after. Think before. For second, had a boys name but two choices of girls and picked her name just before going into the room to deliver. Last, we had it zeroed down for both
