lol, I am one of the flyest white girls you will ever meet. My 90s playlists consisted of 90% Boyz II Men, Toni Braxton, TLC, Ralph Tresvant, Janet Jackson, Tevin Campbell, Blackstreet, Hi Five, R. Kelly, Arrested Development, Babyface, Bell Biv Devoe, etc.
Darn it, I had to look that up, now I wonder what kind of ads I will be getting now.
Let me guess, you never got to pick the warm up tapes for HS sports.
I keep telling our daughter she needs to pick the music for softball practice/warmups. Usually they are blasting country. That falls below smooth jazz for her.
For me it depends on the song/artist for country.
I can understand how players can learn to hate warmup/entry music like smoke on the water. My son mentioned that the coaches for football force the same music on them and they are sick of it.
Somebody up thread asked about gals checking out guys, they do, they're sometimes sneakier about it. Back in my 20's I had a t shirt from the ISU animal genetics club, the back of it said We do it with frequency and variation. Lots of gals would give you a little smile after reading the back of that shirt. Worked with a group of gals for a while back in my 30's most of them were divorced and in their peer group they are no different then guys in what got said.
You weren't, that's the problem.

With baseball/softball down here, I believe different upperclassmen get to pick the pregame playlist. So there was the playlist for one particular baseball game, a bit of country...a bit of classic rock. The broadcast is in commercial, I hear the PA guy say "Would you all rise and remove your hats for the National Anthem?" But, instead of the opening strains of the Star Spangled Banner, it was suddenly "Stroke me, stroke me!" I just about fall out of my chair from laughter, I hear the husband let out a huge guffaw, and I'm pretty sure he was doing the pursed lips spit laughter throughout the anthem when they finally got it playing. Once the anthem was over, all three of them in the press box...PA guy, scoreboard operator, and broadcaster...just lost it.

Watching the weather, we are just on the edge of storms. Five minutes ago the wind was coming straight out of the west, blowing everything in sight. I think garbage from Boone was blowing through the backyard. Now the wind is straight from the east. #weallgonnadie

Holy cow it's crazy windy out, had to do some stuff outside it was hard to go into the wind. The rain is almost horizontal.
Saw my first "Sears Hometown" store advertisement this morning. Also two of the awful Chevy commercials with the effete, metro Timothy Busfield. So lame. I hope these marketing brainstormers aren't ISU graduates. Who vets these ad campaigns? Does anybody have any freaking business sense?...or is it just some mindless exercise undertook to say as a management you are doing something while those in the know are shorting the stocks.
Well I think they made the right call cancelling the spring game as early as they did. Cy's House of Trivia is still on for tonight. Over half our team is coming from north central Iowa. I told them to leave early and pack a bag. We may be a makeshift motel tonight if people make it.
Saw miracle season last night. The Iowa city west volleyball one. Not bad, especially if you are a parent, but a little slow moving and thin on background. Kids even said they had to much playing in the movie.
