@GTO, great poll as always, the best part of it is some of the hawk fans coming in and complaining about it. Some of those dudes are really clueless.
It's pretty obvious that the world revolves around them and we are definitely not giving them their well-deserved accolades for rooting for a team (not playing on). I give the UI TEAM credit. They did what it took to beat us, although it was much more difficult for them this year. For their fans, though (particularly the trolls on this website)...I got nothin'.

Wowsers that Sunday after thread is taking a turn, into people eating their own. It sucked that we lost but life goes on. Some of those posters really are taking it way to seriously or at least post that way on the internet. Oh well to each their own.

I assume the trolling will get worse this morning as Hawks return to work and have access to the internet via their workplace computers. I pretty much live in a hawk-free zone and don't knowingly associate with any, save one dickhead on FB from HS who I have blocked. The advent of FB was an eyeopener for my sister. Nice Wartburg grad who lives in the Quad Cities with Wartburg grad hubby who is a hawk fan. He's not a traditional hawk fan and doesn't hate ISU, hell he was wearing an ISU football shirt the other day he bought from one of the neighbor Cyclone cheerleaders. Anyway, all of the nasty Cyclone stuff her hawk friend's post on FB had my sister a little bit...

Walgreens had a coupon for 33% off a canvas print so I gave it a shot. I did a 16x20 of a photo that at 8x10 looks incredible. It is a picture of Mount Rushmore that I took. The blue sky was multiple shades lighter and the faces themselves were completely washed out. If I open the file in Paint at 100% it shows everything in great detail at a greater size than 16x20.
Fortunately they told me if I wasn't happy I didn't have to take it. I left it.

Plus the over analysis of the all aspects of the game; players who should have played, players who should not be on the field, that ref call, that play call, yadda yadda yadda. It's pretty simple, our defense isn't very good and burned out and got steamrolled the last five minutes and the offense had a turnover at the worst possible time. It's what not very good teams do. We are not good but look (maybe) to be getting better. Averaging around 40 points a game is better than years of barely getting 20 and that looks like tangible improvement.

Last week I get sent this spreadsheet to fill out. No instructions in regards to what they are looking for. I get an email this morning wanting to know what I have so far. I say I don't even know what is expected. They send me a spreadsheet from a another team for "reference"
How about just telling me what you want?

That describes it pretty well. Also, thanks for posting the Hyundai commercial in the latest, greatest Sweet Caroline thread. I saw the commercial last night and found myself singing along with it.

Why are some people terminally late for everything?
Is it a lack of maturity or just a lack of basic respect to think that everyone should sit around and wait for you?

That is one of my biggest pet peeves in general and the fact that my in-laws are always late makes it worse. I don't know if my wife will ever understand that side of me. There is a reason why I get paid to schedule things and manage schedules. It is somewhat enjoyable to watch their heads spin and eyes somewhat glaze over when we are going somewhere and I start bringing up all of the stuff that needs to get done/goes into doing something and explain why my start/leave time is so much earlier than theirs when all they thought about was the drive there.

Genetics. I carry the "just in time" gene and sometimes end up being late but never early. Kind of the flip side of the "get there too early" gene. Like when you are having company, family or some event at your house, and have set an arrival time and since they are "early" people they come an hour early and you are not ready for company or to host. You are cooking or vacuuming or scrubbing the toilet or making beds and "DING DONG!". Next time I host anything at my house I am including a "doors open at X:XX and not a minute before", you can wait in your car. My mother carried that gene. Let's get to Boxsters early (it's no more than a five hours drive...better allow 7 hours). let's go to church early and sit in the empty pews for 15 minutes etc.

So, I did a thing. I missed the end of the game on Saturday because I had an appointment at the humane society for this little guy. He has been playing with Lulu non stop since I brought him home. The shelter didn't know a ton about him, other than he was smart. Seems to already be potty trained, is good on a leash (better than Lulu), and knows basic commands.

This! Used to get these ginormous spreadsheets from programs and budget people from D.C. Ah, when you get to columns AA, BB etc it means your spreadsheet is a useless hoard of data. It's like a hoarder house. Hell, I didn't even know what half the stuff was. I'd go ask who I thought was the smartest programs/budget person in the Corps and "Amy, what is this in that column?" Amy, "No idea." o_O

Huge spreads do help support the manufacturers of computer monitors though and the proliferation of the side-by-side monitor setups.

If your spreadsheet has more than 10 columns, get a damn database.

Oh, they wouldn't got that far because the information wasn't really usable data, just junk that you would have no need to ever sort or query in any meaningful way. I'd fill most of the cells with "na" or just left them blank. If computerized spreadsheets had been around in the 1940's we would have probably lost WWII.

The ultimate and true purpose of spreadsheets in the federal government and in big companies is to provide useless data for even more useless Powerpoint presentations to be presented by minions to the top dogs. Fact!

My family is not known for being on time. Growing up it was a race to see who could be the last ones in church--us or another running late family (my parents' best friends). My younger sister is still bad. She was dropping off a football ticket for hubby for the UNI game. My dad says "she wants to leave at 1pm" I said okay, I will see her at 4. She snap chatted me at 1:49 and was like, "still haven't left . . . " Was probably around 3 when she finally showed up. Family gatherings we tell her to arrive an hour ahead of when we want them to be there.

I am not necessarily early, but try to be at least on time. We had one friend we stopped carpooling with because they were too early for us. :p Daughter would still be eating breakfast or gathering up stuff or needing to finish brushing hair when they knocked on the door 5-10min early.

At NCAA's here last year...

Will see if FB video links are still ****** up 1/2 screen crap.

Edit: or if it works at all

You can fight your genetics. I used to be chronically late, about 5-10 minutes where ever I needed to go, but I've tried to adjust and be either a few minutes early, or right on time. If I'm late, it's usually because someone else is driving and has picked up late.
