You're not welcome here, Chose. We won't feed your feeble trolling beyond this post. See yourself out.

1. Who is 'Chose'
2. It's sad you get so upset about a Game of Thrones diss that you went out and called me a troll. It's really sad people care this much about a fantasy show. I do enjoy certain shows that I'll watch about an hour a night, but I am a man that exercises and works almost non-stop and with my little free time, I'm not going to watch something that isn't real. Don't tell me I am not welcome here because your little jaw will drop if you found out how much I care about this school. I would watch this show and contribute more to conversations about it, but I graduated from the 3rd grade many many many years ago. Stay in your lane.

so in light of the vast amusement I provided yesterday, I give a story from trivia tonight. We had some clue about wrestling and afterward, I was like "I'm tough" and made some air punches.

Friend is like "awwwwwwwwwwww that's so cute!" and I'm like, the hell, I am tough and also gangster (there is a running joke about me being gangster). This caused much laughter. Guy friend is like, CG, if I needed to have someone fight with me, I'd pick my wife first cause I don't want to fight her, then (other female friend there) and then you. I'm like, wtf I'm third?!?! Is this an insult?? And then they said they pictured me fighting like Brick from Anchorman, like I wouldn't know what I'm doing but then would accidentally poke out an eye or something.

I was telling DH about your guys Woo dating stuff on the way home and the comments about me and how it mirrored tonight. DH is like sounds like the RTT people have you pegged.

Also, we won trivia again, three weeks in a row.

Dude, Brick stabbed a guy in the heart with a trident.

Aw, lil' trollboy...hate to break it to you, but he's right. Trolls are not welcome here. Find a new bridge to hide under.

So what thread is the tugboat comment in and is it worth going back to read in context to the thread.

I got all excited because someone actually used the idiom correctly (toe the line vs tow the line).

You are the FIRST person I have seen on CF that used this idiom correctly. I have only noticed "TOW the line". Thank you for making me realize I'm not alone in the world!
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

CG replied:
maybe the other posters were tugboats and you just didn't know it. Ever think about that??

Everyone survived the first day of school. 6th grader said there are 20 new kids in their grade alone, from about 115 to 135 in just one year. Sounds like the 9th grader has quite a few new students as well. The HS is only about 4yrs old, they are already talking about adding on. There will most likely be a bond referendum this spring. After academic facilities get the $$ they need, there are wants within the athletic department. One would be building a new baseball/softball complex. I don't see that happening before the oldest's time is done, though. Maybe by the time the 6yr old is in HS.

You're doing better than us. Class size is shrinking about one per grade a year. And we don't have a large group to start with. With two campuses, will need to be prepared to go to one to save costs. Good news is we have a bond rolling off in a couple years and we can remodel or add on. Bad news is, they have the plans for the next remodel and its to clean up the entry way and get new admin offices. We already need to lose one admin position, so it looks we are worrying about current comfort over looking at the future.

I know there are many more schools shrinking rather than growing. :( At our HS orientation they said we were the 8th fastest growing district in the state. In a town that has a post office, a couple of restaurants, and a farmer's co-op. Even the Caseys is a mile outside of town.

Last day in my current role...bittersweet. Did find out that I will have a normal cube and not a short walled one. So I got that going for me...which is nice.

Going to either the Linn-Mar or Marion game tonight. MrsWx cousin is playing for Marion this year so we will probably end up there. Parking is a nightmare there so I hope she is prepared to walk.

Linn-Mar/Marion are continuing to earn their name of Ankeny East. Continued growth causing crowding in schools and yet another vote to build more schools and renovate. I don't argue that they need to do it but they seem to be kicking the can down the road a bit. Instead of just building a second HS they want to build several more elementary buildings, take ninth grade out of the HS and put that in the current middle schools with 7th and 8th and build two new intermediate buildings for fifth and sixth. Seems like a good plan but for how long will it work?

Then there was this news story last night.

I think I can handle these trivia updates. It's not quite on par with the kickball updates but very competitive with the volleyball and dodgeball (although the 2 balls update was top-of-the-line) updates.

Also, one of our friends grew up in St Paul and somehow it's become fashionable to refer to her as gangster because of it. Her name is Erin. Is there a more gansgster name than Erin?
