I filled in the numbers for the third time on the third day for the same forecast. Thankfully, the error wasn't in my numbers. BUT everyone got blanked out to fix the errors. So fun....

When my oldest started high school, they were on the block schedule with four lunch times, but they dumped it several years ago. The biggest problem we ever had with it was all my boys were accelerated in math, so they bused them to the high school for math and it messed with their middle school schedule quite a bit. I think they simplified things in part because of some teachers who taught in both buildings,

Most kids at our high school take everything in their backpacks before lunch and after lunch. I know some schools don't let them take backpacks to class. Ours does, especially with them issuing laptops to the kids that they want them to take to class.

Our school got rid of all study halls this year. Maybe not the wisest move to force an extra class and have kids have enough classes to graduate a year early, but just take CC classes their senior year that the school has to pay for, or turn them loose in the workforce and get zero funds for them. They may want to increase requirments.

In our league the center is always eligible.

Between those dual enrollment and AP classes, my son entered ISU as a sophomore. A lot of kids won't take the credit for college so they can retake the class and get an easy grade, but my kid hopes to get out early and save money.

My kids taking the credit. I have told them that I will pay X amount and if they spend less than X amount, I will split the savings with them.

They take any accelerated math at the MS when they are in MS, but we kept her on the normal path for math. Not a favorite subject, didn't need to cause more stress.

My son has socialogy this year, so he will pick up 6 credits, hopefully. Next year he will go to the business hub, NIACCs off campus classes and pick up about 8-12 credits per semester.

They bumped him out of An Sci. For a kid that is considering something in Ag and who works for a larger local hog farmer part time, think they would have found a spot for him. He doesn't take the Vo Ag classes since the instructor isn't considered strong at our local school.

Your MIL, Drake, Bieber, ketchup chips, Tim Horton's so-so food, a prime minister that's a little too good looking. I never realized there were so many reasons to hate Canada. We really should invade just to get them to eat chips that aren't weird.
Why not? It worked so well the last time the US thought about invading...

Our middle school didn't really have the equivalent of high school Geometry or Algebra II at the middle school. They did bus them to the high school though, and then their first math class in high school was Trig. My current ISU student has all of his engineering math done in high school then except diffy q's.

When did we invade Canada? You been watching Strange Brew?

The is only one Strange Brew, the vintage song by The Cream. Hey, wtf did you expect, it is Throwback Thursday (not Friday at all, man) and I am fully committed to it.

She's a witch of trouble in electric blue,
In her own mad mind she's in love with you.
With you.
Now what you gonna do?
Strange brew, kill what's inside of you.

Songs about crazy women, who would have thought?

His older brother suggested he go ahead and take four years at ISU but try and do a co-op or two in addition to summer internships. They pay decent for the co-ops and they are a good way to have a job offer waiting. We'll see. Sometimes with the way they schedule the engineering classes, it's hard to get ahead no matter what you do.

Our justifications for invasion in 1812 were dubious at that time. This time it's about chips, bad music and crabby in-laws. We have the moral high ground.

I concur with all of this except why in the heck would we want Canada after we won?
