Our dryer won't stop spinning unless you open the door and won't produce any heat. The service guy can't come until Thursday. We had family staying over Friday night and the son had a bunch of boys over Saturday for his birthday sleepover. We now have stuff hanging all over the house with fans blowing.

JC, have you tried cleaning the vent pipe? Is it an electric or gas dryer? My dryer would tumble for a looong time all I did was clear the vent pipe to fix it. If it won't heat and it's gas it might just be a thermal couple or igniter pretty cheap pieces and easy to put in once you figure out how to open the front of the dryer up.

I sat by the absolute worst group of parents at my daughter's soccer game yesterday.

One guy could absolutely not go 1 minute without shouting something belligerent. OK, he's an idiot. I can shrug that off. One guy had a Go-Pro on his hat and acted like a complete douchecanoe, basically filling in the void whenever the first guy shut up long enough. One lady shouted "OFFSIDES" and/or "C'MON REF" nearly every other trip up the field. I'd wager to say that she was never right on anything she said all game long. Another guy went onto the field during the game, pointed a finger at the ref and said "You need to clean your damn glasses." I think he should have been tossed for that.

And, in case that wasn't enough, another dad actually yelled at the ref, "Why are you making her get off the field? You're ******* terrible!"

Reasons this is horrible:
1) The girls playing are nine and ten, use a language filter, ****
2) Not only are the players young, there are plenty of younger siblings literally within 10 feet of this piece of ****
3) The girl the ref was "kicking off the field" was hurt and had taken a knee, along with every other girl on the field. The ref was helping her to the bench.

I'm not above swearing from time to time, but I never do it in front of kids. And I have made it this far in life without punching someone, which is something I take a large amount of pride in. But these parents about pushed me past my breaking point. If they had made a comment directly to one of the girls on our team, I was likely going to do something stupid. As it was, I almost had to restrain one of the dads on our team from going over there and making a mess of things.

Well the only redeeming thing I can come up with is that at least it was the other teams parents acting like a**hats, and not parents you have to put up with every week.

I tried that and a couple similar sights. It seems like there is a problem with Samsung control boards and I'd rather not deal with that whole process myself. I could really mess things up.

Please ignore my earlier post. My dryer is old and pretty simple.

Got my yard mowed today, it was too long and mowed raggedy, just got in the house and changed out of grassy clothes, and it rained again. Not for very long just enough to soak everything again.

We were at Beloit College cleaning up a big oak tree that fell over. Tons of barricades were set up around. Students are gone, well, most of them. Still had a few walk around them and right through our work area. Sometimes you just want to take the jaws on the log trailer and swing it around right at them to teach them a lesson.

There used to be a version of the tailgate tour 20 years ago or so, I remember going at the local fairgrounds. My dad had to miss the Clear Lake stop and got a personal phone call from the AD of major gifts wondering where he was. ;)

So if you had a choice, would you do Endzone seats or Jack Trice Club seats? Not my decision, but could potentially use the tickets a time or two. :)

First school softball games of the season. JV had no delays, but I had a meeting at school so I missed the end including a pop up catch and a throw down by my catcher. :( Daughter was not necessarily expecting a varsity start since coach had just told her at practice the day before, "Don't worry if you don't start varsity, we are working on the line up the first few games." So she was a bit surprised to hear her name called for the starting lineup (played 2B for varsity) and also surprised to be batting 2nd. The game was delayed 30+min at the start for lightning. Got about 1.5 innings in before it was delayed again for lightning. Started raining just before 10pm, game ended after 5 innings due to 10 run rule. To say our team is young is an understatement. There are 11 HS girls out for softball. Total. One senior and one junior. They dress 8 8th graders to bring the roster to 19. Three 8th graders in the starting line up.

I would personally take the end zone seats, since I used to sit there before the renovations. Loved those seats

Not exactly sure.
If ithe one of the sensa dry ones, the heating element is probably broke. Pull the bottom back cover off and you should be able to fix it fairly easily. I replaced ours for about 50 dollars.

They took that up to Minneapolis in the early 1990's. Jim Walden, Johnny Orr and Theresa Becker (pre-Fennelly). Johnny was at the bar (oh, shocker) and I talked with Walden about the 23-23 tie with Nebraska game from back when I was in college. He was an assistant on the Husker staff at that time. Did I mention Johnny was at the bar?

Jack Trice Club hands down. Smaller areas so less crowd to deal with, middle of the field so much better visibility of the entire game not just one end, ability to be inside and I also believe they have those zone heater things above the outdoor seating area as well.

I have had several conversations with the HS coach about my daughter not playing varsity this year (8th grade) outside of emergency situations. She didn't last night but the starting pitcher got rocked so bad I'm nervous my daughter may be seeing the mound fairly soon.

Son found out yesterday that the 3 year starting catcher was going to the outfield and he was stepping in this year. Coaches and my kid don't get along. He plays baseball for the fun and being with friends, the HC (my wife's cousins kid) is a raging douchecanoe. His only redeeming quality is the assistant is a bigger one.

Btw, our softball team is up to 20 this year with 6 8th graders.

He checked the club seats out a year or so ago, but there was a waiting list. They have Endzone seats already, but he would give those up if he went with Jack Trice. I only get to maybe one game a year so it doesn't matter to me. :)

I do have the service plan through our utility company so I'm hoping that they'll fix it for free (well, for the monthly cost of the plan). If not, this will be the first thing I try. I am a bit concerned that it is something else since it runs when the machine is turned off.

Our team got hit pre-season by injuries, which lead some other girls not to go out. Lots of girls playing new positions, so have to work some of the kinks out. Even though ours has played year round since 4th grade, she has not played many positions outside of catcher, 3B and outfield so there is a bit of a learning curve. Although after the game she was like, "I do not want to play 3B on varsity--I would get killed!" She is at a bit of a size disadvantage over 18yr old senior girls. Or anyone over 5'2". ;) Even playing varsity catcher makes her nervous due to the size of girls, but she is a little mentally tougher/fundamentally sound than the one who is currently playing.

My daughter has pitched usually. Was always strongest one. Starting one is a freshman (her cousin) who focused on the wrong things in the off season. She worked on learning several different pitches instead of fundamentals, ball speed and accuracy. My kid has the strongest arm on the team for pitching or throwing. I'm big on footwork and hips for sports. So my kids get hammered on this for years. My daughter worked out with a local AAU team and they actually were breaking down her throwing mechanics for their full time girls. My daughters response when they would ask her to break it down was, ask my dad.
