Not exactly sure.
I agree with all of these things, even with the ratings of the museums, except that I like the art museum. It's incredible.

I would also add that, if you can, go see the bean. It's just such a cool and unique thing. Also, my sister's office is right across the street so if you're having foot problems you can drop my name. Fat chance she'll be working Friday afternoon or on the weekend, though.

On a related note, has anybody ever been to the Wiener Circle?
Your wife is probably impressed when you call it that.

so glad to be at our place. No delays, though a VERY tight connection in Heathrow made longer when they went through my luggage to scrutinize my craft scissors (US, Canada, and Jamaica trips with no trouble on those) - I did get to keep them. Had sent DH on because our gate was closing. Got there as we were boarding. Spent 80 minutes super sweaty and overheated, bleh. But no puking. The B&B is great so far, lovely view, birds chirping so now we are off to explore a pretty area a bit before dinner. They have the perfect sofa chair in a bay window...........I want to cross stitch here tonight!

Also, sleeping horizontally is the best. I look forward to it tonight.
Even though she is suffering from jet lag, CG didn't use the word wh0re even once. I believe she's becoming a proper English dame.

So, walking up the street trying to ID this bird (Swainson's thrush as it turned out) and noticed the next door neighbor has put THIS in his front parking garden area. Ah, strange. Pic is not of his but it looks just the same. Wasn't sure I wanted him to see me photoing it.

Also weird dinosaur skull stuff and scary gargoyle lawn sculptures.

Boxster, Z would say, "Scary yard!" and probably smile. Then at bed time tell me that it was really scary......so are you scared or not scared? : )

My Chicago advice:
Take advantage of the trains.
The Hancock Building has better views than the Sears Tower (I refuse to say Willis Tower).
Just walking around most parts of downtown, Old Town and Lincoln Park are really cool experiences.

Are the views from these buildings accessible on the weekends? Doing a Fri-Sun trip so the main day for sightseeing would be Saturday.

I wonder the inner dialogue that went on prior to this purchase.

"Let's see, I've got some mulch, some hostas. I'm good there. I remembered to pick up the weed mat. The wife will be impressed that I remembered that. She didn't even put that on the list. What else is on here? Two bags of top soil. Check. What's this? Decorations - garden gnome, garden orb, statue of St Francis, etc. Well, what the heck should I...oh heeeeyyyy."

They are available on weekends. Also, the Hancock Building is only a couple blocks from the water tower. Although the water tower isn't really a super-impressive structure, it is a really important part of Chicago history.
