I'll vote for slices.

But only four slices...

Ours will turn 14 a week before the first softball game. At this point she is their best option for varsity catcher (our school is severely lacking softball players, our "best" pitcher is also an 8th grader).

One of Ottumwa's ace softball pitchers was an "8th grader" last summer. (We really didn't have a #1/#2, more like #1a/#1b) She was also the starting point guard for GBB this year. Really good athlete...runs in the family. Both older sisters were star basketball players, with the oldest being Ottumwa's all-time leading scorer.

Boxster mentioned sisters...never fun when it's twins in basketball, and they have similar first names. You can get confused easily.

But then, Ottumwa's softball team last year had a Kacy, Kaylee, Kelsey, Kaleigh, and Karleigh. The first four were all starters. Fun.

In our situation our best pitcher would most likely be an 8th grade pitcher or JV at most schools. But she is one of our very few options. Gilbert and Ames area is a softball black hole for some reason. The few talented girls from Ames play club ball only, not high school. Our daughter is one of three in her grade who play club softball (compare that to at least 10-12 who play club basketball). And in all of high school I know of 1 who plays softball outside of school ball. CMB (Collins/Maxwell/Baxter) which was the smallest 3A school last year in our conference had 5 varsity level pitchers last year and went to state. There was one girl who moved from Ballard to CMB to have more of an opportunity to pitch because Ballard was stacked, too.

Our first year coach had a goal of winning 4 games last year (you can play max 42 games in a season, our team won't play quite that many). This year she is hoping to almost double and win 7.

Trying to resist. On now but Nurse Rachett says it's time for bed.

dude, I'm totes gonna have more rum.

so, my fave hoodie that I wear evvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvy single night cause I'm always cold was my souvenir buy in Edinburgh going on seven years ago. It's just the perfect comfy fit. But I've like, gotten mustard, oil, and tonight a yellow paint sample (it's a lavender hoodie) on it over time and I'm now like hey, I'll be back in Edinburgh! I wonder if the same souvenir shop is there still selling this sweater and if I could buy like, 8 of these.

Cause I would. DH can just mail his clothes home or something. **** knows his checked bag'll be touring Reykjavik or something while we're in the UK.

Drunk cowgirl is best cowgirl

I was thinking about this on the way home. Did I tell you that at our epic NYE party, no one was sitting on the new couch that we had delivered that morning specifically because we didn't have enough sitting (side note, hosting a party is the best deadline for finally buying needed furniture) and non-sober me finally yelled at the 10 people crowded around our four chair table "COME SIT ON THIS NEW COUCH, WE HAVEN'T EVEN BONED ON IT YET"

Friends still bring that up.
