Maybe the one that cancelled is more popular or maybe just a coincidence.?

I figured you for an airport delivery.

The one we went to said they were busy so it will be interesting when we get to the other one to see if it has fewer rooms or what. We will probably end up going to the one that cancelled unless we find something that really turns us off since we are already in their system.

@Cybirdy I am not sure if Zach lived here back then but he does have at least one sibling in the area I believe. His dad is actually our chiro.

Wife had the tv on while eating breakfast. Some guy was talking about a lack of workers that can pass a drug test. He said if you are skilled and can pass, you basically have your choice. Are there that many druggies out there?

I'd guess they were talking about a certain segment of the job market versus a blanket statement. I think a lot more people smoke weed than we realize, but I don't think it's any better or worse than it has been over the past 40 years. Legalization might have caused a slight uptick, but I don't think tens of thousands of people that didn't smoke weed before just decided to start since it became legal.

I used to think bug bites on my hands were the worst until I got about 5 bug bites around and inside my belly button.

The nurses that do drug testing have some great stories of people trying to get around it. A couple I have heard. A coworker in Wichita had a boyfriend that worked in the oil field business or something like that. A new guy was assigned to him for him to train. The new guy always carried around a brown bag wherever he went. Finally he asked him what it was and the guy surprisingly admitted that it was clean urine just in case they were randomly drug tested.

The nurse that came and did the testing on us for our life insurance stuff down there told us about one when she was doing drug testing at a local company and part of the physical thing required her to either feel his leg or test reflexes I can't remember. When she did so she felt something along the guys leg. After inquiring he explained that he had a container of clean urine somewhere on him so the temp would be close to normal and he used a pump in his shoe with a line that ran up his leg to the container and out...well you know where.

I know I'm naive when it comes to this. I know school counselors and the individual that is at our school that is supposed to promote a cleaner life-style (iowa govt thing) has said the Colorado legalization coincidentally happened the same time as a noticeable uptick in school weed incidents. I know keggers don't seem as common as I was in school and that's due to cracking down on them. Didn't know if higher enforcement was making it seem more prevalent or it actually is.

I had a guy who Couldn't make his Prework drug test because of being in the hospital. He OD'd on a masking drug. One of the last random ones I took, the lady had to stand behind and watch me. Asked if she wanted me to just turn around for her, she got kinda defensive.

I'm not as in tune with it anymore, but the amount of drinking and driving among high school kids in my home town really declined over the years. The "road party" (setting up a keg on a gravel road in the middle of nowhere) doesn't happen anymore. It's for the best, but I know something had to replace it. High school kids just don't stop doing stupid things. Around here, prescription medication use is pretty rampant. Pretty scary honestly.

Some don't believe me, but I don't recall seeing weed until I got to college. It just wasn't around me growing up.

Agree. I didn't see it until college either. I know it was definitely around in some circles, however. But I'm pretty sure there were practically no athletes toking it up at our school back then.

I think that is specifically talking about in Ohio where they apparently have a major problem with opioid addiction.

Last time I had to take a pee test they poured some blue liquid into the toilet before leaving me there to do my business. I guess that was to prevent you from adding toilet water to dilute your sample. This was 20 years ago.

Some people they just know, testing is just a waste of money.

In the Guard, every officer would be picked for the random drug tests.
In one unit, we had two chaplains (one to transition the other into the job), and they were both picked (and passed).

But we had one who didn't make it. He was a great guy, too.

Otherwise, it always made you wonder how many people you might lose when results came back.

I always got picked. When you provide services for the highly physically and mentally disabled, your worker pool is kinda weak. Seemed they always "drew" the safe bets. I was picked so much and had enough trips, they would call me and schedule the surprise tests. usually I could make it that day but sometimes they would have to rearrange it for me.
