Wahoo the section of my route to work that has been closed all summer will be re-opening before Friday night. Downfall is the next section of that road is now all marked up so that will probably be closing soon.
Still no rain this week. Really a weird sort of day today. Windy and cool but the forecast temp is to be 90. Just stepped out and there are the tiniest bits of precip in the blowing wind. Feels like Fall.
Heard some rustling out on the deck a couple of days ago, over by the grill. When I walked over to it, Tab poked his head out, face up, from underneath the bottom shelf...like a mechanic on a creeper. He saw me, zipped right back under again.
80s...but no breeze & high humidity means I wussed out & turned the air back on. The papers on our desks were curling...sheets felt damp...yuck.
They are still predicting monsoons here. Of course I have someone coming to help me paint the garage tomorrow......should dry fast, not.
I did notice yesterday that both the Cedar and Wapsipinicon Rivers were pretty full from rains to the north.
Rained on me yesterday. Rained on me today. Supposed to rain on me tomorrow. It's getting past old.

I saw a commercial last night for Canada Dry Ginger Ale. I got to thinking about it and I honestly cannot remember if I've ever had Ginger Ale in my whole life. Possibly when I was a little tyke. I think the name "Ginger Ale" sounded kind of yucky to me - so I always picked something else.

I was the same way until I tried it a few years ago. I don't mind it. I won't go and buy it, but I'll drink it.
I know this commercial got overplayed, but I still chuckle at the Arby's "sports bar" commercial. Something about that dude's voice works so well in those ads.
I like the new ad with Peyton Manning wanting Eli to come over and watch football on Sunday.
