I asked about painting last week. Anyone have favorite brands of paint? Consumer Reports has a Behr kind as their best buy.......other stuff online seems to favor Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams. We are like, basically where Hallman Lindsay was founded and can get a discount but I don't see them mentioned much.

I prefer v a l s p a r. Autocorrect wouldn't let me type it without spaces

Behr all day errday

Two tips as a recent went-to-Disney-over-a-holiday vet:

If there is a group of you going and you haven't scheduled meals yet (and want to eat at a sit-down place at Disney), do it now or be prepared to be eating dinner at 3PM or 9PM.

While you're down there, just keep telling yourself, "We're not in a hurry. We're not in a hurry". I'm not sure how comparable the crowds are for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but the people that looked the most miserable where the ones that looked like they were late for stuff. I likened it to walking through a crowded mall a week before Christmas.

Thankfully we are only going to Disney one or two days of the week (wife and I bought four one day park hopper passes for $400 total in a raffle) and the only thing we have as a must do is be there for the opening at Magic Kingdom and then the fireworks stuff at night. I have already accepted and made it known that I will not stand in lines for hours on end and will always volunteer to be the one to take LittleWx back for a nap or just hang out with him due to this. I don't expect to ride many things.

I've used sherwin williams on furniture projects before, it went on smoothly and didin't have issues with streaky brush strokes.

Had to grab a sandwich in a convenience store. Had a deal, $1 sandwiches. Wrapper said BBQ pork, but it also said fish sandwich. Felt adventurous and bought it. Will be excited to see what I'm having.

I can't imagine there's a huge difference. I just painted two bathrooms last week using Behr paint with primer. I went over a mint green-ish paint with two coats and it covered it completely. Don't scrimp on paintbrushes though. Having to fish random bristles off a freshly painted surface due to cheap brushes sucks.

That's why I use rollers.

I don't think it makes much difference. If there is a brand that is significantly cheaper than the others, stay away from that. We've used Behr, Sherwin Williams, Iowa Paints, Hirschields, Pittsburgh Paints and Valspar and all seem to work just fine. Also, don't get the cheapest brand of roller. The cheapest ones will leave some fuzz on the walls after a while. Get a decent quality brush for the corners.

For large walls, absolutely. For bathrooms, there are so many areas that I use a brush for (behind the toilet, that section above the shower, etc). I need to break down and buy a small roller, but I usually forget about it by the time I get home.

I go back and forth on using an edger. Sometimes I feel like it goes quicker, but I inevitably end up getting paint on the little rollers and then rolling it on the ceiling (cuz I get too lazy to tape it)

I've done so much damn painting in my life, I could never paint again and be ecstatic.

If you are patient, Walmart has spray cans on sale for $1 a can. About two will probably paint a wall. So for $8, you will have it. Won't need to mess with rollers or brushes.

I've got this annoying cough/tickle in my throat for the past week. It's not a cold exactly, but I feel like I constantly need to clear my throat. I'm reminding myself of my grandpa, except I can't pop my teeth out and scare little kids.
