your vacation thing was on the news the other night. Nothing bad, just talking about it going on.

Nice I will wave as I drive past your office on my way up. Yes chaser I will waver in your direction too.

T-3 days for me. I am soooo not ready.

To clarify - I'm completely ready to BE on vacation. But I have 5 million things to do before that.

I have a feeling that is how I will be when we go to Disney over Thanksgiving.

T-3 for me also. Too much to do at work.
My goals for the trip are reasonable.
1. Don't get eaten by a bear.
2. Don't run out of gas in an isolated area.
3. Possibly grow a mustache. The 5 guys going on the trip have agreed to grow mustaches. We'll see if anybody actually follows through. My 3 days of pre-vacation growth is already driving me nuts.
Sometimes when I take a bike trip I'll stop shaving a few days before and let it grow until I get back. Just to keep the look of a dirty biker and second to remind me that it comes in too gray.

Whenever I have to perform the concussion protocol for kids at sporting events I ask a series of simple questions they should quickly know the answer to. If they seem OK, the last question I ask is always, "What is the air-speed velocity of a swallow?" I figure that if they know the answer, something is messed up in their brain.

What's the answer? Just in case I get bonked in the head and you're there to test me for a concussion.

I have a feeling that is how I will be when we go to Disney over Thanksgiving.

Two tips as a recent went-to-Disney-over-a-holiday vet:

If there is a group of you going and you haven't scheduled meals yet (and want to eat at a sit-down place at Disney), do it now or be prepared to be eating dinner at 3PM or 9PM.

While you're down there, just keep telling yourself, "We're not in a hurry. We're not in a hurry". I'm not sure how comparable the crowds are for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but the people that looked the most miserable where the ones that looked like they were late for stuff. I likened it to walking through a crowded mall a week before Christmas.

The last time I was in Disney World it was part of CA-World. The park was closed on Wednesday night so we could have free go of it. You could just walk up to any ride and get on most with no wait.
