Pants, where will your workplace be? Assuming west burbs based on your apt search. Some apt areas in the Brooklyns that i would not want to live in. Otherwise St. Louis Park, Plymouth, Edina, Minnetonka etc are good. And, yes, I am betting dog friendly will be a challenge.
Checked where I lived in a previous life, Cedars of Edina near Southdale. They allow dogs if under 40 pounds.

My son did that in a Saturday wrestling tournament. Best to be safe, even if it's a mild one. This is basketball? I thought you were at softball games!Took a charge, no call, hit head on the floor. Couldn't countdown by 7 from 100, was dizzy, blacked out for a second. Might be able to play tomorrow.
I'll office all over. I'll have like, 40 some odd stores that cover all of southern Minnesota and stretch all of the way into South Dakota. I'm pretty open on where I live. I'd prefer to be somewhat close to the Minneapolis social scene, but it's not a requirement I live directly in it. I just don't want to have to drive 45 minutes to get to downtown or uptown or whatever it's called in Minneapolis. I don't know if that made any sense at all.
I'm not looking for Ames apartment cheap, I'd just prefer to spend a little less for a 1 bedroom than I currently am paying in Hawaii. Ideally 800-900 or less.
Apartment occupancy rate here is crazy high and rents are very high. I think you will need to up your $$$ target by about 50%.
I've found some decent looking places in the price range. Honestly, I'd choose less rent over proximity to the social scene. If having to drive an extra 15-20 minutes the occasional time I want to go out and do something saves me 300 dollars in rent, I'll choose the extra drive time.

Ummmm...eggs...bread...chips... ???Went to Lund's & Byerly's. Nice place. They place your groceries in a bin and send it down a gravity conveyor for you to pick up outside. I didn't ask but it looked like they don't allow carts outside the store.
Ummmm...eggs...bread...chips... ???
I was actually thinking about the "sending the bin down the conveyor"...and the potential for damaged goods. They have that. I just went to the hot/salad bar for lunch.
Mmmm... Those black eyed peas were delicious! I made WAY too much. We'll have enough for the next few days for sure.

And the peas kept running, running, and running, running, and running, running and...Sounds like you got it started. But be careful. Too many of those will start to show your humps.
People showering me with dislikes everywhere. Love it!
