CyArob, I'm also working tomorrow, hopefully I'll finish by 1 or so.

Cedar Rapids peeps where is a reasonable priced place to eat preferably around McGrath amphitheater. Thx in advance.
Damn, Ndubs. That sucks that you're working on Saturday.

KC just liked my baby GTO toupee post (I demand 10% on profits) and how cute is baby GTO. He is so cute. Those eyes.
Thanks, CG. While the family was here, I think he never touched the ground. Everyone was fighting to hold him all the time. It's made it hard for us this week, since he is so spoiled now.

While in Ames today, I chatted with a Wisconsin lady. She is in town for a few months. She started going off about all the fruits that are imported are covered in DDT. Then said I'm probably ok since I likely have my own orchards and fruit trees. Anybody else heard this DDT stuff? Seemed inspectors would catch it.

I made it there and back, request for help cancelled.
Did DH help? Because that seemed to be where that was leading

Not by me, after all I'm only a "faux mod"
That was a really dumb insult. I know you won't but it would be really funny for you to just reply "If I was a fauxmod, could I do this?" and then ban him just long enough for him to see it

Thanks! But I think the last week of September might little early.

hmmm, probably. But still a beautiful time of year. We originally planned for a mid-Sept wedding, but DH's 9 month co-op pushing back graduation a semester changed that to a summer wedding.

My response after not looking it up would be either (1) that it isn't true because that would violate regulations, or (2) it's technically true that food is imported "covered" in DDT because the regulation mandates that max amount of DDT that can be on fruit and if it's lower then that, then it can be imported. She's just using a much stricter definition for "covered"

nah, I wobbled in. Where is Pants? I want to share pics of my blister/callus peeling off.

and yeah, 78's insults need improving.

I could suggest bestie's child's insult: "Pepperoni pizza poop"

Our anniversary is sept 25. Definitely love fall and fall weddings. And yes, it was an ISU bye week

I know with anything I produce I have to hold records and, especially with the hogs, they do random testing on the meat and checking med records that certain withdrawal times are adhered to. Don't know why they would do the same with importing.

I don't have any fruit trees. I think she was using 1950s as her stereotypical farm/farmer.

sept was def our first choice but June worked out too. Decided waiting those extra three months to get back to fall was not worth it.

Time for bed, these weddings are driving me nuts. Last weekend a couple in town had a wedding and they spent at least $15k-20k on the thing. Fairly high end reception and dance. For both it was a second marriage. Who spends that much when you both had big weddings for your first. I'd feel guilty registering for gifts.

I'm gonna start my search here since I don't know where I would make a thread. Posters certainly come and go, but does anyone know, or know what happened to, Wesley? That guy used to post like 20 times a day, and now he's disappeared since April. I'm not sure why I'm curious, but I am. To be honest, the answer worries me.

I asked the same thing a couple days ago. If I got my poster correct I think he posted he was also a retired Corps of Engineers project manager like me so I consider him kind of a peer.
