made it home and DH has lawn all mowed and trimmed. Such good husband.

yeah, the games were odd. Two very short ones (but with long breaks in between) and nothing done to announce a 'winner' and neither were like, fun or interesting ones about the couple or bride. Just fill in the blank thing (but not like mad libs or something funny) and a matching one. Very odd.

Cupcakes were good though. Finding out that the 3pm August afternoon wedding is in a church with no A/C followed by tent reception with no A/C or fans was not good.

I made a famous couple (Bible) crossword for a church shower once. It was pretty fun. The older and younger ladies seemed to like it!

How many couples are there in the bible? I can only think of like 20 total people.

You made me think of Dionne Warwick. Random flashback.

Actually it's Jackie DeShannon. Though I did check the ARSA website to see Dionne Warwick DID release it on a single - though it shows zero chart action. She (Dionne Warwick) did a lot of cover versions over the years so... Unless maybe her version's in some movie or TV soundtrack that's famous.

Just sort of discovered/appreciated Jackie DeShannon in the last year or so. Great songwriter and performer. Even toured with the Beatles. I especially like her 1965 LP "This is Jackie DeShannon." Kind of an undiscovered gem in my book. Well produced and her voice is pretty interesting. And it doesn't have a lot of the same old - same old cover song filler that so many LP's of the period had.

I did the more famous ones and a few hard ones. Off the top of my head: Mary/Joseph; Ruth/Boaz; Abraham/Sarah; Isacc/Rebekah; Israel/ Leah/Rachel; David/Bathsheba; Sampson/Delilah; Adam/Eve..... I'll have to look up my sheet. I think I did 10-15, but I don't remember. There are more (obviously)but not as well known. Jeezebel and her husband.

Plenty of room for different interpretations and understandings, but offering something like I don't read this stuff for a living is just weak.

I mean, I get the first part but when it's just blatantly bad I pull out the popcorn to sit and wait.
