I was planning on getting up and going for a ride first thing but wet roads may have changed that plan.

Got the ride in but time only allowed for 10 miles. Now to go have fun at a family reunion!

For those in the area and interested there is a classic car show in the Lindale Hy-Vee parking lot.

Got up early, took Lulu to the bigger dog park and met a 3 month old German Shepherd and wore ourselves out for 40 minutes. Went to puppy class after, was better behaved and then stopped at a pet store for an after class treat.

This was the last week of puppy class so as long as it's not insanely hot next weekend, I can sleep in.

DH off to a beer thing and I'm off to Target and a couple other places for Jamaica things. Then I'll probably eat leftovers, wine, and read all night. I live an exciting life!

That would explain all the orange cones I saw them putting up when I went to that Hy-vee on the way home from work yesterday.

Wife just told me we get to stay over in cedar falls for one wedding and the next week is IC/Riverside in July. Or they could be flip flopped. At least IC one will be open bar.

If you're a fan of senseless violence we have to be one of your top countries of choice. **** is just neverending.

Feels like that sometimes, but USA's murder rate (per 100,000 inhabitants) is only 3.6. Compare that to Mexico and most of Central and South America (Mexico is >20, where I grew up - Puerto Rico - is 18.5) and it's not so bad. I feel a lot safer here than I did growing up! Watching the local news growing up was really, really depressing.
