Well, at least now we know how old the roof is. :)

It just says the guy's name and "3 mexicanos trabajaron aqui" just means 3 mexicans worked here.

That's what I thought - I just couldn't find that particular ummmmm...conjugation of trabajar.

They did a good job - the roof lasted for 22 years under less than optimal conditions. Almost NO moisture damage on the decking.

Up to 30 miles today on the bike. I'm really starting to want to replace my drivetrain stuff though. Its got a couple shifts where it makes noise no matter what I do.

So was walking around the "indoor market" near work, killing some time. One of the stalls was called "Not Your Grandma's X Stitch". Had one with two small bees that said "Bee-yatch", and then one that just had the F word, each letter with a pastel colored heart behind it. They reminded me of the Sweethearts you see at Valentines Day.

Soooo....there are some project ideas for you, CG.

When I remodeled I found a Grain Belt can in the wall.. Someone had a beer working the construction in 1960.

My dad ran concrete truck one summer to make a few extra bucks. They poured a large grain silo for the coop, around the clock and no stopping. He said when guys were done with their shift, they would grab a 12 pack drink it (watching the other crew work)and throw the cans in the forms. He said there is probably about 4-5 cases of cans in the cement.

Better was the Sunday May 25, 1941 edition of the Star Tribune that was used as insulation for the neighbors garage. Headline story was the Bismarck sinking the H.M.S. Hood. Saved it because the story was interesting history stuff.

Talked with a John Deere service manager that had a mechanic that worked under him that on his first day pulled out his lunch and opened a beer can, warm old Milwaukee. The guy was a recent German immigrant, thick accent. The manager walked over and asked what he was doing, he said having lunch. The manager asked the owner what to do, owner just said see what happens. Every day for lunch, one warm old Milwaukee...no more no less. It's what they did back home supposedly. They figured he was a good enough mechanic that this was a tolerable issue.

Z is completely focused on watching Toy Story 2. She watched the end of the first one too. How much longer will she last? Longest movie watching time yet!

I think she wants the triple crown, better get Toy Story 3 ready.

welp, about time for party! 2 late commits means we have like 17 expected. Holy crap, where am I putting them all?! Gorgeous weather though, very happy about that.

And DH is wearing a new t-shirt (switching up the polos!) that he looks mighty fine in.......

Have a nice evening everyone! And I have two water bottles of mine filled in the fridge, my aim is to be smart tonight :) Have fun but not feel awful tomorrow.

Spent the day making the last big push to clean out my grandparents place which filled a 15x7x5 dumpster. We even found an old artillery shell.
