Today I learned Samoan funerals are 6 hours long. And it's technically not even over. They have a post-reception and burial reception.

Let's be honest, everything up until this point has just been finding something to do until the pig is done.

In the Philippines, when someone dies, the body is left at home for like 3 weeks and people come to pay their respects there.

Now...the eskimos could get by with that, Pillipinos, I don't think so.

No kalua pig. I guess that's more Hawaiian than Samoan. They still brought it with the reception food, though.

And it caught me off guard because they had like, 7 pastors that represent the different tribes and churches and they all come. They give gifts and things to them. But also as her boss, they did the same with me and presented me with a bunch of stuff. Like, hand woven mats, hand dyed cloth that I'm supposed to have a lavalava made out of and then, what they call "white man gifts" consisting of like, four giant boxes of Vienna sausages, a box of corned beef and a Shasta orange soda with a dollar bill stuck to it. I'm supposed to distribute them amongst the employees. That part was pretty funny, but it was very humbling too.

Okay. I'm really afraid that I might be turning into Pants. Was going to post this exact comment and he beat me to it. On the murder house thread I was going to respond to Lawman that Pants would not endorse BC and just run third party/independent and then Pants beat me to that post as well.

Is there a way for me to stop this? Is there a cure? Someone help me!

Pants just died this afternoon. You're probably possessed. I would recommend an exorcist.

When baking a cheesecake, I thought you had to put the cheesecake baking dish inside a bigger dish with water coming up to the sides but obviously not enough to fill the cheesecake baking dish so that way the sides won't burn?
