You gonna be ok buddy? Need me to have Strunk come and hug it out with you?
He picked me because I totally would.
As a white walker it helps me keep my milky complexion.

Oh yeah, everyone is fine - it happened last night around 11.30. At first we thought the shingles had fallen off the roof. PapaLew is halfway through re-shingling it so there are packages of shingles (and one random wheelbarrow) stacked up there.
The tree was hit by lightning about 15 years ago - the scar was still fairly fresh when we moved in. It started dying off the last 5 or 6 years. We actually expected the other branch (the one still on the tree) to go first. Recent rains waterlogged it, and we had a couple of heavy microbursts of wind and down she went.
It's just bad luck that the kids were here and PapaLew parked over there so that they could park on paved apron in front of the garage. Oh well.
I wasn't really gong to post that picture, bawbie.I made it go poof.
I may have had a few beers last night...GTO, I can't rep you in the dumb thread of dumbness in the cave. Repped you too much recently.
I was working overtime one night back in the early 90's and a storm took down a good sized tree across the street. It fell across the street and landed pretty much right where I would have normally been parked.Oh yeah, everyone is fine - it happened last night around 11.30. That's where I've been all weekend visiting my family. Great weather.I don't know how it is around the rest of the midwest, but man, abosotutely perfect weather in eastern Iowa. Sat outside most of the afternoon watching the kiddos play in the front yard, with a rib roast on the smoker and a PBR tall boy in the cup holder. 'Murca...

gorgeous weather today here too. Have the windows open. Got my run in - normal HR is like 140 peak, 100 if just going. I was feeling overheated and a teensy bit faint during my run today, hit my fitbit and HR was 170, yeah that was probably it. DH got mowing done, I finished weeding, now finishing steak and taters. Oh yeah, DH said he mowed like 3 toads. Not on purpose.

How do 3 toads mow? Faster or slower than a human? More zig zags?
He's going to regret that. They eat skeeters.![]()
