correct, I survived, but I went back out to grab my water bottle and forgot to shut off the living room light so it looked like I was awake all night. Probably kept the hobos and murderers away.

DH said someone in another tent started playing a radio at 4:30 this morning. Plus people stood outside talking til late. They didn't get great sleep but he said he stayed warm so that was good.

I'm going to look lazy - been doing inside stuff all day and now DH is going to go out and mow. Neighbors are doing a bunch of outside work and I'll probably just go out to water the trees and move the hoses. Oh well, I've been doing stuff since like 11.

In my defense, I only broke my foot because I wasn't landing properly due to a knee issue I was having (Cyclops lesion behind the knee cap and torn meniscus). Now that everything is fixed and good to go, I *shouldn't* break my foot again.

I mean, I kinda stopped caring around lap 50 but **** has been insane this race. We might have two dead drivers if they didn't have the SAFER down there. I thought Matt was going to be in the infield.
 
And the dingbat Kurt up front and weird drivers up front? Yeah this probably will end badly.

I ran one of those. I enjoyed it. It wasn't hell like the Spartan Race was. If you build a solid base, you should do well. The party afterwards is a lot of fun.

Which category of the Spartan Race did you? Depending on how the warrior dash I was thinking maybe attempting on the Spartan Sprint, and then maybe some day do the the Tough Mudder. But that would be a long ways a way if I were do that.

I did the Spartan Sprint in Lincoln, Nebraska in November 2013. It was effing miserable. It was cold that day and it ended up being nearly 5 miles long. I want to do another one, since the race distance wasn't actually too bad. It was just crawling through 200 yards of a mud pit, under barbed wire, in cold mud. I couldn't feel my hands after that and so I had no grip strength the rest of the course. You get 30 penalty burpees if you can't complete an obstacle and I ended up doing 120 total burpees since my hands were frozen for the obstacles that were based on grip.
