I just noticed I haven't seen anything posted by Wesley on CF for awhile. Anyone know what happened to that guy?
I noticed that the other day. Maybe he is just on a vacation. I can't think of anything he ever did that would bring out the ban hammer.

K, i looked for the Campbell thread, didn't see it on the front page. Was quite the little slap fight in the Campbell thread.
CyTwins is pretty good at identifying Iowa trolls and figuring out who they used to be. He thinks CySoup is deanvogs. So now CyTwins is just trolling him into making a mistake. He's getting CySoup riled up in the ISR forum.

Went in for a repair estimate on the civ today. $2054...ugh.
I tried to go back and find the original picture. Could you repost it?
Is is scratched to the point it would need to be repainted?

Never mind, I found the original. Front quarter panel and the door.

Also front bumper is scratched up, will be repainted.

Of course you probably care more about your new car than I do the FPOS, but I know when I had a scratch in my Altima bumper back inna day, it was actually cheaper to buy a new, painted bumper from Nissan than for the body guy to repaint it to match. Admittedly, that might have been the metallic red paint, but maybe worth asking.

Thanks. That was worth looking at. Janny came in with a haymaker.

The bumper part is about $450, then there's the door, the wheel, and the front panel. Front panel is the expensive part.

Ahh, okay. Just throwing out suggestions. I mean, not because "you're a girl and duh girls don't know this stuff", but I wouldn't have thought of it myself back then, my body guy said that some places when they aren't busy will just bid it as painting to upcharge and get the work to keep people busy, when the right thing to do is sometimes to just bolt a new one on.

I hate a lot of car places for stuff like this. And for treating their customers like they are idiots for not being familiar with all the car part terms.

It really pisses Mrs. Velo off when auto repair people will talk to me and ignore her. When she tries to tell them that her car is making a noise and they ask me what it is like and when it happens I have to say, "Why don't you ask her, she's right here - we said it is her car." I have actually had to walk away from the conversation to get a guy to converse with her like an adult. I mean, I don't ignore a female repair manager because I would rather talk to a man. What makes them think that treating their female customers like **** is a good idea or good for their business.

I get this at parent teacher conferences. Talk to the wife and ignore me. At the end they go, well that's it, any questions as people behind us are waiting.

I think some of this is intentionally intimidating to limit the customers questioning them on things.

I suppose. All it really does for me is make me want to never go back to that shop again. I definitely prefer being shown the part that is causing the problem over being talked down to by a guy who spends 90% of his time at work changing oil and rotating tires at a quik lube type place. Had one recently that straight up lied to me about needing new pads for the front brakes. He didn't want to show me them in the shop, so I popped the wheels off at home, and I've still got 15-20k miles left on them.
