Yep, was in okoboji this weekend with friends. Friends job has a condo there, that employees get to use. Met up with Omaha friends, cedar rapids friends, and a friend from Minneapolis. Laughed a lot, was a much needed get away.

This whole thing just read like balls and delicious meat. I think I'll pass.
 
CG was in the shower when you asked, NWICY. Got the island finished - turns out tree wasn't crooked, we could put root ball in crooked and that's ok. Finished another section and most of a third. But the third requires me moving my bulbs from last fall and I don't want to. So I'm deciding between waiting til they bloom and figuring out where the drainage thing goes underneath. May need to adjust the placement of the plant going in anyway so it doesn't have to grow in gravel and drainage thingy.

Island looks pretty great, will try to get a finished pic in daylight and then put on fb.

Bread stuff, save the heels to keep the rest moist, then eat them last. I just twist the wrapper after opening then set the bread on the wrapper end.

For or about an hour, so not bad. The rain hit as the church services were starting. If I wasn't dirty and I could have probably went in. Finished when the services were about over.

Yep, the Sterling Hall bombing. Some interesting factoids I'd learned about that since I've been here:
1. My crim professor had served in the army and was back in town to go back to law school. It happened the first night he was back and even though he was pretty far away, you could feel it and the windows were shaking where he was.
2. A few years ago there was a law student who had been in the military doing doing work with explosives before coming to law school. He did the math and I want to say he said due to the size of it, the safe zone was a mile away. (though that may not be quite right)
3. you can actually see where the explosion was on the building due to the change in bricks.
4. After one of the guys did his time, he went out to Oregon, attended law school and I think even took the bar. I don't know if no one told him or what, but you need to pass a character and fitness exam to become an attorney and he couldn't pass it because of his involvement in the bombing so he wasted all that time.

Pretty much having a total random attack. Watched Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, and WALL-E. To complete the total spastic randomness of the evening I'm listening to grunge music. I've gone full WTF.
