We use something similar. It doesn't last for 12 months but it seems to help for a few weeks.get yourself some of this. I've used it at our house and it will kill any ants trying to get in. I've only sprayed on the outside of my house.
You also may want to try cauliking in some type of sealant around the tile wall.
