The second one wasn't awful, but it wasn't creepy because it lost the claustrophobic feel.

The first one wasn't terrifying by any means, but was just creepy almost the whole way through. It almost felt like I was holding my breath throughout half of the movie.
I love horror movies. Probably my favorite genre. The descent has nice creep factor. My wife doesn't like horror movies, so I mostly watch on my own, in the dark, late at night. Spain, Argentina, and Hong Kong also make quite a few nice horror movies. I like all of them, but prefer zombies (before they went all mainstream), monsters, and Sci-Fi horror. I always like watching some of the less popular titles for hidden gems. Ever watched Blood Creek, Re-Cycle, Devil's Pass, Pontypool, or V/H/S?

Yeah...the first one creeps me out a LOT more.

There's another caves flick I like, but it's not claustrophobic or creepy. Have you ever seen "The Cave"?
Yep, I've seen The Cave and I did like it. Wasn't as creepy as The Descent, but a pretty good watch.

Pizza dip

8oz softened cream cheese mixed with 1/4tsp garlic powder and then around 1tsp pizza seasoning (or you can do oregano, parsley, basil). Spread on the bottom on a pie plate. Top with 1/2c. each shredded parmesean and shredded mozzerella. Then 1c. pizza sauce over that. Another 1/2c. each parmesean and mozzerella. Top with whatever pizza toppings you want (I did pepperoni and black olives). 20min at 350 degrees. I had pita chips and breads ticks to go with it.

Agreed with this. Typically not too scared myself but I can appreciate the suspense and how they build it up.

In "Ummmm, okaaayyy?" news, was at a birthday party for a friend last night, a lot of us haven't seen each other in a long time...there's kind of a loose collection group, I've seen the people I'm closest with, but not the others. Anyway, typical bar party for long-time married people, men go to the dartboard/pool tables, women grab a table and start chatting. End of the night people are starting to head out. A wife of one of the 'friends of friends' guys is coming around and saying goodbyes. I'm not that close with either of them, but we did live in the same house at times in college. Anyway, I hadn't said a word to her all night, she comes in for a hug. I'm not a hugger, but whatevs, go with it. Except she doesn't just hug, she dry humps me for a second in front of everyone.

Horror movies are great. Too bad you have to sift through all junk to find something good

If her husband was there, that was just a swinger test to see how you and your wife reacted.

So is Mrs. 00 ok with a threesome? You may be getting in porn sooner than the movie gets made.

V/H/S was a good flick. Not scary, per se, but entertaining. The sequels were god awful though.

I've seen Devil's Pass on Netflix while skimming. May have to check it and those others out.

Was she hot?

Is Devil's Pass one of those "found footage" things like Blair Witch Project? I find those really annoying...the images are all herky-jerky and the dialogue sounds like it's ad-libbed by 12 year olds.

I agree on VHS. The first one was pretty innovative. The second one had maybe 1-2 stories that were decent. The 3rd one was dog ****.

Yes, it is. I'm not a fan of found footage films, except a few that are done pretty well (Quarantine/REC comes to mind). Devil's pass was decent. Did you guys watch It Follows? Not scary, but pretty creepy and original.
