Long day at work today, one of those days where just lots of little stuff kept cropping up, finally got things straightened around, hopefully things go smoother tomorrow.


Congrats on getting the new car home Boxster.


Pants and Lawman, just a few hours to go, hang in there and enjoy tomorrow.

I made the same Hunger Games comparison. First book - pretty good concept, fun read. Second book - it's ok, but now I feel like I have to read the next one. Third book - yet more proof that everything does not need to be a trilogy.

We watched the last Hunger Games flick last week. Same problem there. Random, boring end to a fairly cool start.

I haven't seen the last Hunger Games movie yet but the last book was certainly the worst. I think the premise of half the book was "Let's walk through the tunnel and talk some more. OK."

pot roast is fricking delicious of the bite I ate. May not be able to taste the rest as I totally burned my whole tongue. Crockpot, warm means "warm" not "just shy of boiling". And I was starving so waiting 30 seconds like a smarter person would have done didn't happen.

GTO already mentioned it but I guess I really shouldn't be surprised that you're talking to the crockpot. That's not all that abnormal but you may need help if it starts talking back.

My wife once put a sticky note next to our crockpot saying "Don't burn your mouth dumb***" because, after several years of marriage, she concluded that I would never get this concept either.

And for the record, I likely still burned my mouth.

Well, PapaLew & I made the decision last night to bring Button indoors as family. We don't want litter after litter, but it goes against the grain to spend ~500 to spay/vaccinate a cat that may disappear tomorrow. And we don't trust the shelter - Ames shelter is no-kill, but we don't live in Ames.

I was going to make an appt with the vet when I got to work this morning...got a text from PapaLew that he found a home for Button - one of his coworkers, I'm assuming. I'm so glad! She's a sweet kitty, and we really do like her...but we don't want five cats!
