When I was growing up in Puerto Rico, it was ALWAYS 80-100, with an average in the high 80's, low 90's. Never changed. I never even bothered checking the forecast, unless there was a storm/hurricane coming. Our weather forecast during the local news was about 2-3 minutes tops.

When I moved to Iowa, I was shocked to see how the weather was such a huge deal and the weather forecast was at the beginning of the newscast, somewhere in the middle, and they talked about it again towards the end. Then winter hit and I was always checking the forecast to deal with things I never experienced before (windchill, tornadoes, etc.).

Nickels was freaking out because the forecast here said rain all week. I told her it doesn't matter what the forecast says because it will change constantly up to that day, then will say sunny and 84 every single day. Lo and behold....

My turn for flu shots today. Had it scheduled for 8:30, but at 8, they came to paint my office, so I headed up then. I should also get my desk phone fixed tomorrow, so I can stop huddling in my mentor's office for conference calls.

Birdy....we need some of these Hong Kong minivans here:

While everyone was talking Pants and 55 redrum in Hawaii I was apparently all alone in thinking Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr at Halona Cove. So tonight I am channeling flipping and there it is, From Here to Eternity on TV. Coincidence? I think not.

More or less, just with her yelling at me and telling me not to PDA.

What she's on vacation and no PDA?

Tacos for supper and brownies for desert nom, nom, nom.

Was mowing the yard and the cold front moved through, went from short sleeves to having to finish in a sweatshirt. Freakin cold fronts, bah I like shirt sleeve fall.

when we picked Jamaica for our honeymoon (which was late June), DH's mom was like but it will be so hot! I'm like it's going to be the same as if we go in January.

Gone twice in June, once in late Oct. It doesn't change. It's fantastic.
