I was pretty bummed that I didn't get tickets for the NCAA Men's tournament when they went on sale today in Des Moines since I got a group of friends to commit to go. Well I saw that St. Louis still had all session passes in their lower level for the same price as it would have been for Des Moines. So I'm rolling the dice and hopefully Iowa State ends up going there.
I think that's the first time I've seen Rev use Z's full first name here (even though I think most of us already knew what it is).
Funny thing, I actually didn't know it, but have seen her in person (albeit briefly, and didn't realize until later).
So, catching up...we took the kiddos to G'ma and G'pa's house last night, because we had this service project this morning. It was us, a husband from one couple (the guy who asked about the Vine), a wife from another couple, and a couple the other guy works with. We made 4 dozen scrambled eggs, 4 lbs of bacon, 4 dozen breakfast links, and a bunch of pancakes. Also had some fruit. Went well, but that was partly because we had very little turnout from the guests at RMH, I wonder if it was because they had us listed on the house schedule as providing lunch. The other guy who came...his wife stayed home because his 8 YO son fell out of a tree last weekend and broke his tibia, so is in a hip high cast.
Gave Mrs.00 the best 'date' I could on a Saturday afternoon, shopping without kids.
Loaded up on meat products at Hy-Vee and the hippie food store, so I ran the vacuum sealer for a half hour when we got home. Mrs00 decided we should make some freezer meals for the neighbors and our friends who both had babies in the last week...one is on their 4th, one on their 5th, so it's not like they need clothes, so we'll give them a meal where they don't have to cook that much.
Had some stuffed pork chops and twice baked potatoes for dinner while watching the game, at 7...we're finally ready to sit down and relax for the first time today...

Oh, and weird car sightings today...I saw an early '00's F-150...not weird, right? Except it technically wasn't an F-150, it was a Ford Lobo...the mexican version of the F-150...with Johnson County Iowa plates on it, and parked in the handicapped spots in Hy-Five.
I think this is the Paul Rhoads we all liked a few years back. At some point he became more conservative than Mac, but it's been fun watching him pull out some of the stops.
yeah, agreed. The way they're playing so far tonight, if they lose, I'll be okay with it. At least they're not folding like a cheap card table.
All I want is a score update periodically. When it comes to ISU football scores, their social media sucks. They do a FB post after the quarter (which usually posts like hours later) and twitter gives play-by-play but rarely the score. So much easier to follow bball or even vball scores via twitter.
Hubby was at the OSU game, wishful thinking for another miracle.
The rest of us did homemade pizza and now movie night.
