You must be making bank to buy a house as a single guy right off of college in Minneapolis if I remember correctly

You're looking at houses again? For ideas, or did you nix the lot/building idea?

The builder (we actually have the lot closing in a couple weeks) will be doing a repurchase agreement with us and he actually said if we find something built before we have the construction contract signed, that's not a problem to him.

So this was kind of a last try type of thing since we haven't signed anything and this house checked a lot of boxes. No dice though and it was just awkward. Our realtor was delayed by a previous appt, so she pushed ours back 30 minutes. Said she had checked with listing agent and it was all good. Two minutes before the original hour was up (so 30 minutes into the new time slot), the family got home. Son walked in (probably pre-teen age) and said "my dad says you have to leave now" and then the dad came in, and wasn't terribly friendly. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that their agent didn't actually confirm the time change with them (at least I hope that, because otherwise why wouldn't you say, hey, we need to be back in our house by x time so they need to be done before that), but we were still right on time for the original appt. I get that it's their home and all and they have a life, but next time maybe just let your realtor know that showings need to be completed by X time or just fake friendliness instead of getting pissy with the people looking at your house.

It's funny when you walk down the aisles at work as you pass each cubicle they try to minimize their web browser.

Now I know why you can't find a house to buy.

There's a check list box, "Previous owners must be nice to me." Wonder what else is on there?

Web browser and phone. And it's usually the least productive ones that try to hide it and suck at it, too. I like to walk by and then suddenly "remember something" so I can walk right back by their desk so they have to close it again.

hahah, it was SO weird. We've run over on time /owners thought appt ended earlier than it did once or twice before and they've always been so pleasant about it. We always left right away and they would be like "oh, sorry," and then ask if we had any questions. Even if the list agent didn't tell them about the time change, we weren't over on time and were actually heading to the door to leave.

Stipper names are often improved by being spelled with an I instead of a Y. Like Kristi, Candi, Brandi...

Can't really do that with your real name.

oh I see. Yeah, that doesn't work, though I've seen people try to put one in the middle when I say and don't spell my name.
