Speaking of Carl...weekend summary...urge to kill only rose up during the stroll thru the sculpture garden wherein I had to listen to Carl proclaiming loudly how "this isn't art, it's just a bunch of junk welded together and painted, and they call it art", and how he could take a dump on a piece of paper and blow it up and call it art. Now, to be fair, I'm not an art aficionado, but don't go thru the place yapping like a jackarse, ya know?
I had to hold back laughing out loud when he was going to put some fish on the grill, but didn't thaw it out, so he proceeded to **** pound the **** out of it on the edge of the sink because he was trying to 'knock the big ice chunks off'
I had to fight the urge to cry when he kept snapping at his 13 year old son who is showing signs of tourette's to "stop it, will you?" Cause, yeah, that'll help. They haven't sought any diagnosis or help, but yelling at him to stop it is the way he's handling it. I pulled the kid aside and told him that if he ever needed anything to call me.

Hey guys, I've had to correct a few words where people circumvented the filter in this thread. We'd prefer you just type out the word and let the filter do its job.

I saw mine was one? Maybe I accidentally spelled it wrong? Typically I just spell things how they should be and let the filter decide if it's acceptable or not. My apologies!

Is it just me or is there a much larger number of posters on this site behaving like absolute douches more than usual lately?
Nope you are right. I hate going into the sports threads right now. All there is is arguing either at each other or the trolls. (Iowa, NDSU, KU). Will never understand why CF doesn't ban them. It would get rid of so much garbage posts that are taking me away from cf sports topics.
While I don't share your apparent affection for he who shall not be named, I don't believe I was behaving in that manner toward him at all, and neither were most of the others. A couple of posters referred to him as a troll...however, most were arguing points with him and others. And yes, the very first response was not from hwsnbn, and was what took the thread off track and turned it into a what constitutes a blue blood thread.
I have a low tolerance for anyone from any fan base that says one team will "always" be this or another team will "never" be that. There is no such thing as a absolute in sports or college teams...and some day somewhere in the future, a 16-seed will win in the first round of the dance.

See, I kind of found it interesting when people were actually defining what they thought defined a basketball blue blood...and very telling that none of them really had the same definition.

I wasn't referring to you at all. And I'm certainly not found of twocoach. I just call a spade a spade, and those that just viciously attack him after every post he ever makes just because he made it are much worse than he's ever been. I don't agree with him all the time (or much at all) but I'm not going to freak out on him because he uses his view as a fan of a different team. I post on a Hawaii board and use Iowa State examples all the time and none of them get all angry about it.

Glad I'm not the only one. It's making this site almost unbearable. If it weren't for the off topic board, I probably wouldn't come here at all right now.
I suspect that UH fans hearing about ISU all the time on a UH board isn't quite as jarring as hearing about how great KU is all the time on an ISU board. Distance and perspective make things easier.
Or maybe ISU fans should just have a little thicker skin and not be offended every time KU is mentioned?
I don't have a problem with KU being mentioned. But for many posters (myself included) what begins to grate is the insertion of KU into nearly every basketball thread. I don't have the kind of personality that leads me to go to the message boards of another fanbase and tout all the wonders that are Cyclone...and I simply don't understand the need to do that. It's the one thing that made me crazy on the ESPN boards...the sheer volume of trolls. I really enjoyed conversation and some friendly banter in the 3-4 days leading up to a game...but once game day came, I left. No conversation, just attacks & baiting.
What you're seeing here is mild compared to what it was there. And honestly, there is quite a bit that is instigated by Tuco himself. I have little respect for him after he mocked one of the Hoiberg twins by posting the pic of him crying after the KU game. As a mother & a grandmother, kids are OFF LIMITS, ALWAYS. Other posters have other reasons to dislike him, but that's mine.

I've taken my first steps in quitting chewing tobacco. I finished what I hope to be my last tin yesterday. I bought some coffee ground pouches and they satisfy my need to have something tucked in my lip. They taste awful though.
