I have to try something to combat the weird pockets of southern style drawl that she gets subjected to in KC. "There" and where" have become 2 syllable words to her.

I was on a bus in England near Birmingham and there was a guy yelling into his phone the whole time. Outside of the swear words I barely understood a word he said.

Reserved a hotel through Expedia for one night this weekend. Right now, it's showing in our account the rate we were quoted +$20 being "held". Is that normal until the charge officially goes through? (The +$20 that is)
This is totally normal. That's why people are discouraged from using debit cards for hotel reservations. The hotel wants to make sure their money is available in case you cancel, skip out, etc. The $20 is for any incidentals you may charge to your room.
It's getting to the point where I'm no fun anymore, and I am sorry.

A friend of mine is great with character voices and accents, and he has an 8 m/o daughter. I'm seriously interested in what kind of accent she has when she starts talking.
I said gnarly in an ice-breaking exercise at a work meeting the other day and everyone laughed at me. Apparently it is a funny word when you use it to describe a wedgie.

I could not have been giddier for working nights to end. That perpetual fatigue was awful.
So I drove past the Front Row in Windsor Heights this morning. For those of you who don't know, it's a Hawkeye bar. Anyhow, there's a six foot tall Herky statue that used to stand next to the door. I say used to because someone knocked it over and broke it in half. As a responsible adult, I can't condone vandalism and I hope they find whoever did it. As an immature Cyclone fan, the image of Herky laying on the sidewalk broken in half makes me giggle.
why am I so tired today? Yes, I should go to bed sooner, but I didn't go to bed later than usual. Today I'm just dragging.
I'm still finding skittles in my car from two years ago when my daughter spilled a bag. I have no idea where they are coming from.
