I just don't understand how people like soccer. Any sport where games in the most important tournament of the sport can end in a tie is a sport I can't take seriously. And don't even get me started on their timekeeping. "We're going to continuously run the clock, but don't worry, at the end of the game we'll add time on for you. We just won't tell you how much time was added on and the only person that will know is a ref."
I'm sure I'll get flamed for this post by the soccer fans, but I just don't get it. I've tried. I really have. I just don't get the popularity.

The time keeping is just something you get used to. Also I don't understand the hate for ties. The NFL uses ties, college football used to use ties, and not all ties are created equal. If they had ties in college football and we tied Oklahoma down in Norman you don't think they would view that as a loss?
There are a lot of things I really like about soccer, but I can understand why people wouldn't like the sport. I don't don't think you'll get flamed, because you made an effort to try and like it. It just didn't happen and that's ok, not everyone is going to like every sport. I think the people who get flamed are those who give really stupid reasons for hating the sport, act like they're better men because they don't like it or go into soccer threads just to troll. I don't like nascar, golf, or baseball but I don't go into those threads looking to troll.
It's not that I don't like ties, it's that I don't like them in tournaments of importance, like... The World Cup?
I have no problem with ties in hockey, but in the playoffs, they play until there's a winner.
I guess, but they take them out once they get to the single elimination section. I actually think they add excitement to the tournament because it adds another variable of what can happen.
totally agree with that last part. I don't like soccer, baseball, or golf, but I stay out of those threads. The trolls that go in to be all "your sport is so stupid even though I know nothing about it" are so annoying,

I *think* it won't be quite as many questions. Once we get all the big stuff figured out. The it'll just be fun polls like "this door handle or this one?" :twitcy:

People complained about our golf course being dry. Now I'm back to having a 7 hole golf course, instead of 18.
