When you get in your 30s, it gets easier because you're a couple and everyone you know is a couple. As a single person in his 30s, it can be a struggle for the same reason.

I didn't SAY it was easy. I said there were plenty of ways to do it. It starts with putting yourself out there, because you're past the days of having friends handed to you through classes and roommates.

Well, it does get a little easier with kids. We've met people thru kids activities. Our newest set of friends was generated thru a 'mom's club' that my wife joined to get the kids interaction with other rugrats when they weren't going to daycare. Turns out the gal who put it together now lives just around the corner from us.
