Tonight I get to start my "broadcast career" for local access channel calling a high school football game tonight in the Twin Cities. I'm pretty excited about the opportunity.

don't mess it up!

Everybody, remember this moment so we can say we knew MLaw before he was famous.

I loved playing football in the rain. Just so much more fun

Reminds me...the homecoming game my senior year, it rained like a MF'er thru the first half, then stopped. Next day my dad asks what I was doing that I went and washed the truck. I went and checked, the thing was spotless from getting rained on, but then didn't get dirty again because the streets had dried before I drove it again. Spent about 15 minutes getting the third degree because he swore I musta took it mudding and then went and washed it before coming home.

If you don't drop a "And boom goes the dynamite" you're doing it wrong.

We watched the boys' games from the sidelines...we hated sitting in the bleachers, so we walked up & down the fence. Homecoming one year, buckets of rain falling. If you were tackled, you hydroplaned another 2-3 yards. Coach told the boys if they toughed it out & won, he would do a running dive midfield to see how far he could slide. They did, he did, and we had a close up & personal view of the surprise on his face as he slid by us, with a huge rooster tail up behind him.

As an offensive lineman, the more it rained or snowed, the more happy I was. I hated those games where so many people called it "perfect weather".

Of course, I was the guy that refused to wear sleeves when playing, even when it was single digits out. Bunch of pansies my teammates were.

Had a game my junior year when the temp at kickoff was like 20 degrees. The field was under water the day before, so there were puddles everywhere. Couple teammates didnt wear anything under their pads. Lets just say they regretted it shortly after the game started.

*******. I wore the same sleeveless shirt every game under my pads. And no gloves. Gloves are for *******.

I realize the likelihood of this is pretty much non-existant, but imagine the chaos on the football board tomorrow if we come out and beat KSU by 20+ points.

"Give Rhoads an extension"
"Mangino just needed a week"
"Rhoads still needs to go"
"Gannon must have been a cancer in the locker room"
"We're gonna DESTROY Iowa"
"That was a fluke. We won't win another game."
