Without any wind right now, it really doesn't feel colder than it's been some of these past days.

True enough, it is really still and windchill is about the same as the Cedar Rapids area. Still going to use it as an excuse to not go anywhere till noon or so. Going to pop back over to LifeTime and run on the track a little and tempt fate with some weights versus the rotator cuff.

Got my snowblower to work today. Of course, now there is no snow to blow.

Poop, warmed up to -19 before I did a screen garb. Wasted.

Weird that it is going to be 40 degrees warmer tomorrow and 50 degrees warmer by Tuesday. Nice.
We drove up to Minneapolis for a friends bachelor party once and it was -17. The next night it was 27. With that 44 degree swing you didn't even need to zip up a coat it felt so nice.

Last year when threads went bad we had Lives2 to post "mckay". We have GTO with his JFC but do we need another term to support Goat? Weigh in !

Maybe "Fat Corgi!"

Baking marathon that weekend, and that doesn't include holiday baking for my own use. Making dessert for the teachers of our intermediate school tomorrow (3-5 grade). They are having Hickory Park for lunch and then for dessert have these choices--peppermint mocha cupcakes, mini Nutella cheesecakes, mini peanut butter pies, and eggnog snickerdoodles.

So the next top thing on my bucket list, I think, is african safari. On a whim I looked up costs today and it's surprisingly cheaper than I expected. Only about 3k for a 7 day trip. That's all costs included minus the plane ticket (and passport, and all appropriate vaccinations etc.). I think I've decided that if I get this job, I'm going to do it.

If you go this spring, maybe you will be on the same tour as my parents. ;) They had wanted to go last year but the trip they wanted was booked and no one ever cancelled (they were on a waiting list).

Just don't shoot a lion, doesn't work out well for people from MN.

I'm realizing Africa is a big ******* continent. I think my ideal one would be this one I saw in Kenya because it sounds like you have a chance to see all of the big cats that I want to see.

Going to try a clam chowder tonight. With some shrimp too. Thanks gr8 for the recipe. I've mixed it with a couple others so we'll see how it goes
