R-GRT's post reminded me that my new "confuser" is coming this week. Should be looking forward to it but will have to spend such much effort and time setting it up. Boo that ****. Not sure the old VueScan software I got for my HP old scanner will reinstall. Might be looking for a new scanner. And so looking forward to the Microsoft Office install and the thousand updates along with issues related to activation keys. I hate those *******.

Forgot my headphones at home and now I realized I am out of gum. #FirstWorldProbs

Co-workers beware.

We did some Christmas shopping yesterday afternoon. We were at Scheels for 30 minutes, Target for 30 minutes, Barnes and Nobles for 40 minutes and Michaels for 89 hours.

I hate that store

Yesterday I was watching "The Walk" on cable. When he was on that wire in between the 2 World Trader Center buildings I all of a sudden realized how sweaty my palms had become. I couldn't imagine what that movie was like in 3D.

And for the first time EVER, I used pillsbury roll-up pie crusts on my pies. Just didn't have the energy to do them myself. Oooooohhhhhhh, the guilt!

Nothing wrong with that, they work great. I use them some IQF cherries, tapioca, splenda, and people think I can make homemade cherry pie. HaHaha.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but there IS no comparison. In order for them to be functional, the dough has to be compressed & overworked. Leaves you with a tough crust and zero flakiness. They were an acceptable substitute but will not happen again unless I'm on my death bed. :D

So, during run yesterday I had a thought that maybe, just maybe, I was overdoing it some. Confirmed, no maybe about it. I think the only parts of my legs/hips that do not hurt are my calves. I have not come to grips yet with all of the old man limitations that I should be acknowledging. Moar ibuprofen!

What did I miss here in RTT during my stay in Iowa? Back in Texas last night and 70 degree weather today, so can't complain. I did manage to watch the BB game on my SlingTV app while on the road yesterday, so that was exciting.

I made 14 pies with our two Thanksgiving events, five of which had top crusts. No way in hell I was making all those crusts. I just unroll them and plop them in the pie dish though, don't work them much at all.

Dh getting sick as well. going to be a fun few days.

So got an invite to a work dinner that I don't have an overwhelming desire to attend. I don't expect to take off work for this cold, but is it a solid enough reason to not do dinner? I wouldn't want to eat with a sickie.

Not exactly sure.
All these people talking pie is making me hungry for some cherry pie. Almost at the point where I'd buy one of those 99 cent jobbers. Maybe waffles tomorrow morning with cherries.

Skip the supper, don't spread any more germs than you need to. BUT go if you need it to work the angle for the new job title/raise.

I am also sick. Not getting sick...sick. Sore throat and runny nose...sucking on a cherry Halls right now. Just waiting for the whole thing to navigate into my lungs and produce what sounds like a cough of death. (A single bark cough that rattles the entire chest cavity)

Pies - Finally got a slice of chocolate pie about 12:30a on Friday. Tasted wonderful.
My poor dad...he likes/liked his pies. (Past tense of "like" because he's sticking to his WW plan) My mom, unfortunately, doesn't do pies...ready-made crust or not. My dad's only hope were the church's potlucks, where two of the older ladies were well known for their pies. My dad loved the pecan pie one of the lady's made.

Finally, just got under the wire on a cyber Monday deal for husband's Christmas present. (Dang EST) Got this shirt...
