Welp, I'm in Minny and already got a few beers in with my brothers before calling it a night.

I saw the most Iowa thing ever on the way up here. Driving north of Ames on I35 I glance ahead at an upcoming overpass. There was a John Deere tractor parked on it. In front of the tractor was a woman holding a little boy wearing ISU gear, and they were waving at the cars as they drove by.

Yes, I waved.

Saw that, the last I knew was it was just a weapons threat, nothing specific. My sister actually has to go back up there in a month for tryouts

My randomness for the RT:

Hubby has been wanting to stain our pergola all summer, but need a dry stretch before and after staining. Took a day off yesterday to start. One board in and a swarm of wasps decide the pergola is the best place to gather all day. Got about half done, may be half done for awhile.

Didn't go to our HS football game, but from posts and tweets last night it was still in regulation at 10:50pm due to penalties. Aldo looked like most of the PATS were missed.

Had to bake yesterday for a friend/kids' birthday. 2.5 batches of cake batter, 2 big batches of buttercream (which are each 3 stick of butter and a whole bag of powdered sugar), and a batch of peanut butter frosting. A bit of sugar overload.

First softball weekend of the fall season. Hubby will be home in time to go to the game tonight if he wants. I told him he should go, the next game he can go to is Oct 17th and by then the excitement may be gone. Hoping to use my dad's end zone tickets at some point, they were all spoken for this game.

Sorry you were banned, Pants. Got a good chuckle reading that last night.

Different times. All we did was make a tennis ball cannon out of tennis ball cans and use lighter fluid as the propellant and shot tennis balls down the Dana House hallway at Barton Hall.
