The preferred word at our house right now is douchenozzle.

There are currently hair ties on every surface in the house (couch, counter, dressers, dryer) but none in the vehicle or in my purse. Time to relocate a few.

Things I learned during my morning catch-up:

- 17 year-olds are as mature now as they were when I was that age. It was stupid, but I'd be pretty surprised if a good portion of us didn't have a story of a friend being a douchecanoe at that age.

- the word lightning is hard. There is a youth soccer team in KC called the lightning and I see their name misspelled on nearly every website. I question whether they are actually named after something that removes darkness.

1. Being that my oldest daughter will be 17 in less than three years I fully expect that 17-year-olds will be fully mature by that time. I think I'm right about this one.

2. They may be named after a verb that roughly means removing weight.

Hair ties are necessary to keep your hair out of the throw up.

Well, you also have the BF hold:

And the self hold:

And the bff hold:

Wow, I didn't realize bringing douchecanoe here would bring such joy. I'm glad I could brighten all your days. It is optional to switch to douchetoboggan in the winter. Doesn't roll off the tongue as well, but I like to keep it seasonal.

Natural linguistic evolution from D-bag to D-nozzle to D-canoe.

Just did a stump on a terrace at Beloit college. Another guy and I stood in the middle of the sidewalk on both sides of the stump trying to tell the students to walk around so they wouldn't get hit by debris. Of course it's too much of an effort for them to do that. A lot of them walked between us and the stump grinder. If one of them had tripped that would've been the end of them.

Need to get some tall traffic cones and caution tape for that situation. Tape off the keepout zone.

It's college kids and it's Wisconsin and it's almost noon. They're drunk.

Boss just said that someone moved cones we set out in the road yesterday at the college so they could get around. I didn't see that happen but I'm not surprised at all
