I have no idea how I became a member in 2006. I don't recall ever being on CF prior to the conference realignment fiasco. At that time I began lurking*, peering and stalking from the shadows. It is only recently that I decided to leave the shadows and fully expose myself (pun intended).

*Is that Merv Griffin Lurking over there? Sorry. Man With Two Brains reference there.

I didn't look at the month he joined, but I knew that was the year of a coaching change, like with many of us. I joined specifically for the change from Chiz to CPR.

quit that job I talked about yesterday. Got another small job today. Got a call today and might have a big pay increase over the last one if I get it. Would have to move back to Ames for the summer if it happens which wouldn't be a bad thing. Wish me luck.

Good luck...hope you settle in a job you like that pays well! And Ames isn't such a bad place to be, right?

Took me 9 years, but I have finally been inside of and or ordered from every business in town. Went to Ace Hardware today for the first time. Except for that one, I actually had done it in 2 years.

Pretty safe to say you've been around the block a few times. For each block in town.

think my stress level is slowly ramping up. Had an issue yesterday with house stuff - wasn't going to be able to start moving things til Fri when I'm off tomorrow -Fri to start moving (so we can have room to clean the apt!), got that mostly straightened out then today the added potential family visit that now I don't even know if it's happening and I half fear they are going to try and show up during the walk through....then talking to my mom about her coming up and she mentioned the in-laws (they have to meet up to get something from my parents that his are able to bring up) are planning on being up here much sooner than we told them......sigh. Then my mom is like if you have too many people (which we now kinda do) I don't have to come up, but I oddly want someone from "my" side here even though we'll have friends as well. So odd to feel like that.

I know this feeling. One of my boys graduated from high school at exactly the same time as his cousin on my side of the family in another town. Diluted my support system, outnumbered by the weirdos on my husband's side, stress of the grad party and everything. It will be ok. Maybe better with rum.

haha, it's almost the opposite. Like IDGAF mode now. Plus this work stuff - one kinda work friend leaving, another 2-3 all just got promoted....much change here. Good change, and now I'm like cool, I want to join the party. Yes pants, still waiting on that one piece. Looks like the person needed to provide that was out all last week. But now I'm even more excited about the people getting moved up around here.

If you close your eyes, when he laughs he sounds just like George Bush (the younger). Not comparing the creep factor, mind you...I don't think Pres Bush is creepy at all...just...ineffectual.

But yes...Col Sanders is (IMO) even creepier than the Burger King, who is even creepier than Ronald MacDonald.
