I can understand that. This past week the neighbors have been gone or silent or something. Last night I could here multiple stair climbing, door openings. It really bothered me.
My wife and I have been discussing vacation options for next year. We had mentioned about doing something with friend's and the options are a cruise or vegas. Both would be great but if we went to Vegas we would stay with her grandparents and it would be at least $1,500 cheaper.

With or without baby? I have had friends go on a cruise and left their one year old with family AND it worked well.
The Rag has a picture of Harrison Barnes that looks like he is grabbing his junk. Odd choice.
Hey, all you exercise-y types, you should be proud of me. Had to get my dad's father's day card inna mail, and rather than drive the half block to the central neighborhood mailbox, I walked it. And walked back, since I didn't see anyone who would give me a ride.

I am strongly thinking of not exercising today. Just feel Blech.
So a couple of guys broke into the house of a neighbor down the street last week. Their 12 year old daughter was home alone sleeping and she woke up when one of them opened her bedroom door. They fled when they saw her. They apparently broke the deck sliding door window to get in. This freaked out our neighbor across the street. You know the one -- the one originally from rural Wisky who refuses to let her husband go to bed with even a second story window open. I reassured Mrs. Velo a little bit by pointing out that they hit a house that backs up to a water feature rather than a house that backs up to other houses -- fewer eyes. This won't help neighbor who also has a house backed up to that water feature. Cops came and didn't catch them. 12 year old was groggy when awoke and couldn't give even a basic description.
Good thing this thread is random...
I like the idea of saving money, but I could see a cruise being better with a pair of friends to hang out with.
There would be more places to go in Vegas, but would the shows and...... add up to spending the money you were saving anyway.
Should celebrate with a big hamburger and a plate of bacon. Maybe finish it off with a piece of cake or something.

Yeah, it really hits home since we have a 10 year old girl.
Mrs. Velo has dubbed the neighbor across the street (we are friends with them, by the way) Gladys or Mrs. Kravitz because she always knows all of the neighborhood scoop.
I didn't realize until just now that there were two Mrs. Kravitzs. How many shows with that short of a run can claim they have replaced two recurring characters - one major - with different actors?
My husband's cousin was raped when a guy came in her second story bedroom window when she was 12 and home alone sick. Your neighbor was very lucky.
My husband's grandfather then called this granddaughter a slut for the rest of his life because she was raped when she was 12 and somehow didn't fight back sufficiently when she was ill and a full grown man had a knife.
