I think the crazy high estimates have become the "thanks, but no thanks" of the construction biz...just got an estimate for 2.5X what I expected on a small job here...granted, it would be a PITB little job for someone, but still...

I think the crazy high estimates have become the "thanks, but no thanks" of the construction biz...just got an estimate for 2.5X what I expected on a small job here...granted, it would be a PITB little job for someone, but still...
Did some checking online regarding costs and it is high end but factor in the flat roof and steep steep roof and chimney removal (just down through attic) it's maybe not insane. Just never priced this out before. My current roof was all redone and buried in the cost of my big addition/remodel so never priced out a reroof before.
We'll see if it gets past the filters:
