Random Thoughts IV

As the reigning champion of RTT, I'm dedicated to make sure Cowgirl doesn't get it again.

And why wasn't this thread titled "Random Thoughts IV: Return of the Pants" (sung to the tune of Return of the Mack, obviously)?

I'm going to go ahead and take credit for your victory. There had to be at least 160 posts of you trying to win me over in RT3.

It is a beautiful day! Heading to the farmers market. 00 Marion is having a BBQ Roundup type thing if you are interested.

Thanks for the tip...citywide garage sales today, so Mrs. 00 is going to our friends' house where we're doing a shared garage sale, and I'm hangin' with the kiddos. Littlest 00 is bathing now, then van washing, and then balloon rockets later.

Oh, and congrats, SNEDDS

Landed and all settled in! It's 11:24 PM here and I'm wide awake... Zzzquil is going to have to work some magic

I'm in the top 10 of RT3 and no one tells me about a new thread? Not cool, peeps.

First 4 days of summer "vacation" and I shuttled kids to 4 softball practices, 3 softball games, 2 Dr appointments, a going away party, and went to the pool. Also had an order for 3 dozen decorated cookies so was trying to fit that in in my free time. When does school start again? (Answer--83 days) Okay, maybe I'll be able to check back in before RT V.

I just had a first. A car repair guy that didn't know how to drive manual. That or he didn't want to drive it into the shop out of fear it would fall apart. Could be either.

Rep seems to have picked up during the coaching search, probably for fear of being seen liking something opinionated.

Rep always seems like a sneaky way of liking something, like you've indicated here. I prefer liking posts. Is there a way to tell how many reps I've given out? They're probably mostly mafia because that seems like the thing to do there...

So the wife works tomorrow and Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm. Wondering where to take my son. Options:

-Woods hike at Heard Museum (free - membership)
-Dallas Zoo ($)
-Dallas Aquarium ($$)
-River Legacy Park (free, with outdoor boarded walk trails) - Never been here, but looks cool. Just really far (Arlington), so might be an hour drive.

Are you sure you're Texan? Since when is an hour drive "really far" anywhere in Texas? ;)

I know you have mad skilz with the baking, Birdy...but I have to tell you that the small picture makes the cookie shape look like fat hands with extended middle fingers. MUCH better in the bigger version of the picture! :)

Tickets are jacked up though because it's the Yankees, we'll see
I went 2 years ago to Yankees v Twins on the 4th. Talk about expensive! Really fun time tho. Being a Yankee fan has it's draw backs due to pricing. Went to Wrigley last year for cubs v Yanks, pricey too. Wrigley was less than impressive. Target field was awesome. Hit up Gleuck's (sp?).

God bless my sister and my stepbrother and my other stepbrother's wife!!!

They have made arrangements, and I will not have to boogie down to Phoenix after all. Oldest stepbrother will be there Monday, and he is going to get his mother to stop dithering and refuse POA for Daddy (along with executor & other things). She has been her normal "oh, someone please tell me what to do" self, and her oldest son is just about the only one she will listen to. Step-SIL also arranged for a couple of extra caretakers (brings the number up to four total); two that are there 12 to 12, one am & one pm, and two that will be part-time during the day. One care-giver during the daytime cannot care for two infirm or bedridden patients in an in-home setting. They both need so much attention that there would be no time for cooking meals or bathing one or the other, no way to run errands, get groceries, or take them to their millions of doctor appointments (they average 3 a week between the two of them).
